SB118 Ops: Quotations of the Week!

I really loved this bit of conversation between @Corey Wethern and @Madison Marsh

Quote

Marsh (as Wetheren): I am sorry that I suck being you Corey. I am surprised that Doctor Duran did not notice, but how often do beings swap bodies right? We can think of it that way. We definitely need to swap back as soon as possible, but they would place us in a Cardassian insane asylum if we said we swapped bodies anyways. No one would believe us anyways.

Wethern (as Marsh): Your Corey is probably better than my Madison, I just don't know where to put my hands. I've rescanned the same protein 4 times just to keep occupied. I hear Cardassian asylums are nice, they have cookies and puppies.

Corey chuckled as the joking sarcasm came through a little bit of himself seemed to be restored.

Marsh (as Wetheren): What if we used Fermandatine? The specifics on the drug state that it does not cross the blood brain barrier for one and the compound rapidly increases the body's healing process. Research indicates that it is highly effective in revitalization. We could administer it through intravenous injection so that the drug travels rapidly through the patient's body as opposed to using a subdermal injection. The effects of the drug may be a bit intense, so we can use a sedative via hypospray to put them to sleep for several hours providing rest for the patient while the medication cures their condition. What are your thoughts on this option?

Wethern (as Marsh): Fermandatine, that's pretty good an idea. We would need to stabilise the cell structure of surrounding tissue but a molecular sequencer on a biobed should be able to handle that no issues.

Corey wasn't as familiar with some of the new medicines and was trained very differently than those that went through Starfleet Medical, however respected Marsh's evidence based approach. They were two different sides of a medical coin.

Madison: Did you come up with any options for treatment? We definitely need to test a few in the simulation as we do not want to be dependent on one option alone.

Wethern (as Marsh): I've been looking at the Loperamide option a little bit more. I want to run a simulation to see whether we could stabilise it with Cervaline. It should help prevent some of the damage caused. It would be a rough ride for the patient though. I think in any scenario we are looking at sedation. How are you holding up?

Oh @Vitor S. Silveira. Such a sweetheart.

Well, Arys doesn't think he can take care of Garev... 😒

Trovek: Just... while I am gone, be careful. Don't do anything stupid. Don't do anything risky. Don't... damage Garev, he'll never let me hear the end of it, and I am not explaining Fleet Captain Oddas how we broke the medical officer we borrowed from her.

I'm loving the internal narration as @Vitor S. Silveira Tito turns slowly more Vulcan!  ❤️

Beautiful writing Bruno!

Tito again chose to give them privacy. He almost asked if it was better for him to wait outside. But as before he just tried to do his duty and tried not to bother Sal or Nestira.

He guessed they were in another telepathic conference and stood there waiting.

The confusing moment he had before, when Sal was speaking, was troubling him. He found that his acuteness was sharper, most likely due to his physical differences. But he was worried that, as Arys had noticed in Nestira’s tone of voice, he also was being more deeply affected.

Tito breathed slowly and as before he was quickly able to self control, in a way that was totally unnatural to him. He permitted himself a moment of distraction and allowed his mind to fly to any memories. And his first thought was of Taisa. A smile came to his face when he recalled their meal.

However, the next memory didn’t make any sense to him. He was strolling through a city, with unfamiliar style, side by side with a woman. An older woman. Tito felt he was small, smaller than the others.

Was he daydreaming? A hallucination? He blinked as the image of the memory faded, but like a picture during exposure a sort of “print” was made in mind. The style wasn’t familiar but he quickly guessed it was likely Vulcan.

To his surprise with a little effort he recalled the place's name, ShiKahr.

He tipped his head and shook his head. These were certainly Lieutenant Garev’s memories.

Arys was right and their condition was worsening.

Tito shook his head. He reached to his collar, feeling the Commodore’s rank pip.
He wanted to roll his eyes… Well at least he wasn’t in Doctor Garev’s body anymore. But looking down he wasn’t sure this new swap was any better.

*coughcough* I like that body...

Thanks for the laugh @Vitor S. Silveira!

It was a pleasant sensation to be aboard a large starship once more, with people bustling about and the fresh scent of the durandansomething metal that the ship was constructed from...

I love this narration!  It's so good to have you back Stefania!

Hael: I know’s the best place fer sammiches. Can’ go wrong with sammiches.

He had no idea whether the engineer meant actual Sandwiches or if a Sammich was some weird Klingon specialty - but there was hardly any food he couldn't enjoy, so Ross was kind of okay with both options.

Please can we see a "gagh sammich" in the not too distant future, @Evan Ross? 😂

Though he would admit it to no one… Well, no more than two, anyways.

This is such a great line from @Rustyy_Hael's PNPC Nijil. 👏🏻

And without undue delay, here's another of @Rustyy_Hael's NPCs:

Masha tilted her head, with an expression that said “no way!”. But a quick look at the all too casual, all too sure look on Solaris’ face, in fact, confirmed that - yes, way.

Love some of those witty, little writing quirks. 😏
