  1. Wendy's is across the street from our apartment, so it's our fallback on nights when Hank Hedland going to be really late after work or just doesn't feel like cooking. Last night I had a double burger and this morning I woke up feeling like someone had been kicking me in the head repeatedly overnight.

You all know me -- I'd rather walk on my own two lips than jump to conclusions, but all I can think is that greasy hamburger hurt my brain. They should change the name from Wendy's to The Crab...

  2. DATES: The class began on May 6, 2012, and ended on May 13, 2012. LIST: sb118-academy3 COMMANDING OFFICER: LtCmdr. Alucard Vess FIRST OFFICER: Lt. Susan Knight GRADUATE: Johanna MacLaren Welcome to the fleet!
  3. This morning I'm doing the bravest, most courageous thing any man can do: go to the DMV on a Saturday. Wish me luck.

  4. It's not the heat, it's the homophobia.

  5. Well, that didn't take long! First God-centric email to The Listserv since I joined. That was two minutes I wish I could get back.

  6. I'm fairly certain that doesn't matter -- you should still be able to change your display name if you want even if you're registered with Facebook. Just head to this page (My Settings > Display Name). If you were having troubles before it's just because I hadn't approved your registration, which I've done now. You should be good to go
  7. Peter, you can change your display name in your user settings.

  9. I'm about the call the UK. For work! What are they, 5 hours ahead? I GET TO TALK TO THE FUTURE.

  10. Unfortunately, Cmdr. Redstone isn't able to continue as the facilitator here However, Lt. Alleran Tan of the Avandar has volunteered for the position, and will be taking over in the next few days. Everything should remain pretty closely to schedule.
  11. Basically it's just every two months, so Jan/Feb, March/Apr, May/Jun, etc. Usually the exact dates for each round are set at the beginning of the round. Mar/Apr is just finishing up and the judges are working to determine the winner. Once the winner is chosen, that winner will select the next round's theme -- so we don't actually have a theme at this very moment. Once the winner chooses the next round's theme, then the facilitator (as of today, that's now Cmdr. Aron Kells, FO of SB118 Ops) will set up the next round and announce the exact open/close dates of each round. But we don't post the exact dates for each round, as it's mostly determined by the judges finishing up, getting the winner to choose the next theme and so forth - a lot of person-dependent situations that require some flexibility. Does that answer the question?
  12. I think you might be in the wrong forum, then? This is the Writing Challenges -- only voting is done by the judges For the Writing Challenges, the next round will probably be open by around the first week of May. The Top Sims Contest does voting, though, and the schedule of rounds is here.
  13. As some of you may know, Captain Tallis Rhul has resigned from the fleet. As such, we've had to find a new facilitator for this team. We have a volunteer, and we're just ironing out some details at the moment. The judging should occur, and the next round should start, on schedule if all goes according to plan

  15. Due to the mix-up in scheduling, this round will start today and end on Sunday, May 6th. The winner will then be part of Run-off Round 2, judged in July. Sahmson & Aodhnait Cair "Personal Log" by Ensign Jacob Moore "The Bane of History, Repeating" by Commander Kalianna Nicholotti

  22. Welcome welcome! Glad to have you with us
  23. New rules have been announced in the rules thread. Hopefully this will solve our problem here. For a sim to win the final round, it not only has to go through staff judging at a few semi-final rounds, but it also has to have at least 10% of its votes from members on another ship than the original poster.
