A. Sherlock: The plant! Where's my plant...the flowers!?!

S. Sherlock: Calm down, they're in your room.

A. Sherlock: Thank goodness.

Yes, otherwise the FO will have her head! 😉

S. Sherlock: You got a couple things.

A. Sherlock: What things?

S. Sherlock: One got dropped off a little before you got home, kinda big, I put it in your room.

A. Sherlock: ::feeling exasperated:: Oh, that's my painting I won on Bajor.

S. Sherlock: How'd you win it?

A. Sherlock: Almost choking to death...nevermind. What else was there?

Mason: Please have a seat, Lieutenant. :: he points at the two chairs in front of his desk, indicating with his hand either one was fine.:: Some waiting area out there. Someone really likes beige I guess. :: shrugs his shoulders.:: Not my choice, but I’m guessing someone smarter than me has figured out beige complements beige and that artwork, and it’s all intended to lull excitable minds to relax.

Gotta love Starfleet issued drabs.

Sera:  I…I do not like water, now.  I…::shoulders slumping::  I ripped out the water-based shower system in my apartment on Denali Station with my bare hands.

I think that goes a little bit beyond "I don't like...'

I found this amusing.

Tito: Tito to Sickbay, medical emergency five to beam up on my location. ::He lowered his head to them.:: There. First aid achieved.

Arys rolled her eyes. Ivin snorted and shook his head with a soft chuckle.

Trovek: I can’t even be mad about that.

Zumagi: Smart arse.

"In green" broke me!

Emlott: I am planning a celebration. I was wondering if I could acquire a pine tree from you.

Now that she said it out loud, it sounded a little stupid.

DeVeau: response

Emlott: ::nodding:: They look like this ::She made a zig-zag motion:: In green.

Wyn Foster's "How To Get Ready To Hang Out"

Quote

Alright.

Step one: roll out of bed.

Step two: sonic shower.

Step three: OH GALAXY NO PITCH!  NO NOISE!  NOOOO.

Step four: reset sonic shower, swear.

Step five: Actually shower.

Step six: Find pants.

Step seven: Shirt?

Step eight: Put pants on stupidhead.

Step nine: Fix hair

Step ten: Forget about hair.

Step eleven: Head out

Step twelve: Shoes, stupid.

Steps thirteen and afterwards were a fairly straightforward act of waking up and letting the computer lead him in the right direction to find his destination.  So by the time he was at the door of Alora’s quarters he was awake, alive and looking mostly put together, if a little late.

Renot: That’s quite a bit of a change. From being the one who made your superiors get grey hairs over, to being the one who gets the grey hairs.

Yes!  This.  Exactly this!

Taybrim: If you want some advice, I was told this by a dear friend when I was a young officer.

He grinned, looking a bit impish.  It seemed his advice would be half legitimate and half humorous.

Renot: ?

Taybrim: When you hit JG you need to clear up, look sharp.  You’re up and coming.  You want everyone to know you mean business.  But when you hit Lt Commander start to let it go.  By that time you’re a little jaded, a little haggard and you want everyone to know you’ve been around the block a few times.

But he couldn’t quite hide a smirk that she was taking a position that had belonged to Sil, although back then Tactical and Security were split departments.

Sera: It is a pity that the Commodore could not be here for these meetings.  I am certain he could have procured some obscure Betazoid law…or something…forcing everyone would have to be naked to engage in these proceedings.  That would make our task much simpler.

He knew it. He invested so much time into preparing for the scenario in which the meeting comes sooner than the scheduled time and it seems his intuition has led him to the right path. When the commodore sent him a brief summary of what is to happen he knew that the unpredictable nature of delicate politics will cause complications, and today it seems these complications have come.

Love this opening @Obsius Sill-con 😂

R’Val: Absolutely, we disagree. Praetor Taron would keep our people rooted in the past. In a way that only benefited the elite. His way caused the Federation to turn their backs on us in the time of our greatest need. More lives could have been saved if there hadn’t been such suspicion and distrust on both sides. The Republic seeks to change that. We have no interest in going backward. We look to the future. To a better way that will benefit all Romulans everywhere.

@Serala J'Lynn would give that a standing ovation...if she were in the room. 😅

Sill-con: I apologize for interrupting your meal, good councilor, but it seems there is a grave emergency that we are yet to understand.

Very diplomatic for a big scary security officer!

Foster: There’s significant shrapnel spread and subsequent damage, but I need to triage the hole in his chest first.  ::a pause, dry:: And you know, remove your hand from the hole.

Zumagi: Please don’t tell me you are holding an artery closed, Trovek.

She is, isn't she? Lol, Loved this little part.

Now, here is a Romulan who clearly has his priorities straight.... 😂 (Bolding for emphasis my own.)

Sherlock: =/\= Sherlock to Security, all Starfleet personnel are on Red Alert. Lock it down. No movement between sections. =/\=

Before Havran could ask what that meant, the Starfleet officer's shiny badge beeped again and the voice of the same woman came through the air.

Sill-con: =/\=this is ensign Sill-con, I am with councilor Havran s'Rehu in the Trinity Sector, am i to hold my position?=/\=

Sherlock: =/\= Negative, Ensign. I need you to get him to the Trinity Country Club. There's private conference rooms there and it should be easy for you to secure the area. You'll be having a couple guests with you. Confer with Ensign Willow once she's there to make sure those guests stay safe.=/\=

Sill-con: =/\=acknowledged Lieutenant=/\=

s'Rehu: We have to leave?

Sill-con: ?

Havran pointed to the antanaed chef who was still preparing food despite the alert that had come. He wondered if everyone on the station was always so calm during an emergency.

s'Rehu: But...but...my mollusks...

Sill-con: ?

Havran was disappointed. He was looking forward to comparing, and most likely condemning, the the food compared to what he would eat back home.

One day, curiosity would kill the cat. But these were flickering lights, no political plot to gain control of the quadrant, so Amelia felt reasonably save.

So she thinks.

There was never enough. Not enough food to comfortably feed the population of cultists, sympathisers and civilians. Not enough medical supplies to effectively treat the wounds of those who had sustained injuries, and not enough trust in a future that was worth looking forward to.

Terra Prime was racing towards the edge of a cliff with no way to stop its momentum, and they were clinging to each other out of fear of facing the abyss alone. The end result would be the death of thousands and the escape of a few select, who would find some other place to settle down and rebuild what had set ablaze.

A very dramatic and keen set up for a challnge we will face in 2400 ❤️

Why is this so relatable :D

((Ugly little dive bar – The Dungeon))

This place was ugly.

It was messy, noisy and bleak.  It stunk like bottom shelf alcohol and depression.  And with the sudden burst of chaos and pain from above, it was also unusually busy for a late afternoon on a random day.

Because was there ever really a better – or worse – time to wallow in the horrible futility of life and drink yourself to oblivion?
