Alora DeVeau Posted June 26, 2023 Posted June 26, 2023 Quote Sherlock: ::dusting herself off:: You have the right to shut up! Dal: Anything you can say and will be used against you in a court of law. This amused me. 3 Quote

Alora DeVeau Posted July 10, 2023 Posted July 10, 2023 From the narrative of Sal Taybrim: Quote And a somewhat frustrating assignment. It had been filled with science officers and as a science officer himself – trained as a counselor and a diplomat – he would be the first to admit that a large portion of science officers were certifiably nutty. Present company excluded of course as Alora DeVeau was, like him, a Science Officer Alumni. Little coconut.wav 2 Quote
Sal Taybrim Posted July 17, 2023 Posted July 17, 2023 Quote Tito: We have to make our own embarrassing moments. Taisa chuckled and set down her fork so she could mimic Tito, chin resting upon her own hands. Smiling, her eyes narrowed playfully as she countered. Ayala: Challenge accepted. I look forward to reading this challenge! 2 Quote
Sal Taybrim Posted July 17, 2023 Posted July 17, 2023 Quote Both varieties of fauna were heavenly. They made her melt with their beauty. For one, the Iceland Poppy wafted with a slightly mild sweet floral aroma while the desert rose shown with a vibrance of color. Each providing a stunning elegance that she was reminisce to say she had yet to actually paint. Nor did she keep a pot of either in her quarters. Now Haukea was determined to remedy either or both. Love this flower description from @Haukea-Willow! 3 Quote
Alcyone Brennan Posted July 17, 2023 Posted July 17, 2023 Quote McLaren: Guess we'll find out shortly. Aine glanced back and forth over the other officers. Sherlock: Anyone wanna take bets? Of course Aine was only joking...mostly...maybe. 3 Quote
LCDR Aine O. Sherlock Posted July 18, 2023 Posted July 18, 2023 Quote Tito: I see, thank you for betting on me Lieutenant Aristren. Wasn't there some Earth expression about betting on blue? @Vitor S. Silveira not only making me lose the bet, but punning his new duty post! 1 3 Quote

Popular Post Sal Taybrim Posted July 20, 2023 Popular Post Posted July 20, 2023 Quote Tripping through the doorway into the briefing room on the USS Narendra Haukea-Willow flailed her arms around wildly, stabilizing herself. Tito only smiled, leaning back in his chair. Though to Willow it appeared as a direct response to the conversation at hand rather than her clumsy footing, not that she would have minded either way. The fact that this included a gif of the action literally made my day @Haukea-Willow! 3 2 Quote
Popular Post Gogigobo Fairhug Posted July 21, 2023 Popular Post Posted July 21, 2023 Quote Note to self: try to get Willow and Garev into the same room for a while and see how the Vulan reacted. Oh, that was not diplomatic. But it would be fun… And for all of his well-groomed diplomacy, Sal Taybrim was also a impish little ginger Commodore who liked a bit of well-intentioned mayhem when he could get away with it. @Sal Taybrim is an impish little ginger Commodore, indeed! 🤣 2 3 Quote

Popular Post Sal Taybrim Posted July 22, 2023 Popular Post Posted July 22, 2023 Quote Wethern wanted to put a hand out to have a tactile moment with the ship to brush the metal walls and make a connection. I loved this imagery and could imagine the moment in my mind. Good narration @Corey Wethern! 6 Quote
Popular Post Alcyone Brennan Posted July 22, 2023 Popular Post Posted July 22, 2023 another one from @Corey Wethern❤️ The turbolift pinged and swished open to exposed the gleaming bridge of the USS Narendra. There was what appeared to be controlled chaos in a sea of consoles, lights and panels overshadowed by a large view screen. Wethern was in awe of the sight and the planet displayed in an orbit on screen. No one even hesitated at the turbolift opening. He watched as Commander Dal left the turbolift but was slightly stuck to the spot at how different and alive the command deck it was a contrast to what is captured in the holovids. Wethern was always amazed at how much individualism was in each ship despite it being the same class, for example the Narendra had enhanced armour as part of it's station and crisis response role. Each ship was almost a crew member unto itself. Working in tandem with the crew to achieve the mission. As the sensation returned to his body and he was able to close his jaw slightly Wethern took his first step onto the bridge following Commander Dal to what he presumed was the briefing room. 5 Quote
Popular Post LCDR Aine O. Sherlock Posted July 24, 2023 Popular Post Posted July 24, 2023 Quote Sherlock: Getting new Ensigns is like Christmas morning. The reference to Christmas was strange. While Haukea had heard of the holiday from her time during the academy, she still didn’t quite understand the meaning behind it. She guessed it was similar to the Moon Festival on Risa, a time to celebrate. Nevertheless, the reference did little in the way of enhancing their understanding of the task at hand, greeting new Ensigns. As such, the three of them merely made their way towards the turbolift and the bridge. I dropped this line and @Haukea-Willow absolutely nailed the narrative response! Much alien! 5 Quote

Gogigobo Fairhug Posted July 26, 2023 Posted July 26, 2023 Another one from @Corey Wethern describing the energy between Sal, Aine and Willow. If you were a Ferengi, maybe you could bottle it and sell it! 😆 Quote There was an unspoken bond between them, a sign that they had experienced great adventure and peril. It was also infectious and slightly mischievous. Wethern had wondered whether he should request the computer to erect a level 10 forcefield to contain it. 4 Quote
Gogigobo Fairhug Posted July 26, 2023 Posted July 26, 2023 Love the description and thought process in this passage from @Ksivi-Sava, as well as the phrase "dark-eyed, carroty-haired presence". 😂 Quote Stepping on the bridge of a Federation starship was a humbling experience in and of itself. But when the turbolift doors gave way and exposed Ksivi-Sava to the veritable crowd of officers that had already gathered, he was thoroughly overwhelmed by the impressions. Efficiently enough, though, his brain already started sifting through those, trying to sort them by relevance. Potential workplace: helm was one of a pair of consoles in the rather classic layout. Familiar face: Cory Wethern was already here. And, of course, the most striking sensory stimulus in the clutter of sensations: somebody with commodore’s pips, whom Merek steered them right towards. Comfortably enough, something about the dark-eyed, carroty-haired presence didn’t seem quite as menacing as Ksivi-Sava had imagined. 3 Quote

Popular Post Sal Taybrim Posted July 28, 2023 Popular Post Posted July 28, 2023 Have I told you how much I love to read inner monologues? I love inner monologues! They are so fun to read! Quote oO This is when you make the good first impression, Arake, this is when you make it, THIS IS WHEN- Oo Arake: Greetings. I am Ensign Sojtis Arake. I am a Science Officer specializing in sociology, anthropology, and archaeology. I believe my areas of expertise should at least be somewhat relevant to this mission, given this situation's similarities to other times where building materials were found out to be dangerous. I also want to know what material we are dealing with here. oO Good enough. Probably. Oo Really fun narration @Sojtis Arake! 5 Quote
