Alora DeVeau
Quote From Nella's narrative: Commander DeVeau became as poise incarnate Boy does Alora have her fooled! 4 Quote Link to comment
Sal Taybrim
Quote Maybe they could set her up with a handsome Cardassian. Or maybe Dal - Arys had heard them use first names and all, so evidently, they were close. Hah! >.> 2 Quote Link to comment
Alcyone Brennan
Quote He was not so dumb or unused to telepathy to not immediately pick up on why she would be looking at him like that. But he had not been actively aware of the telepathic conversation, either. His mental shielding was quite strong. Was that to protect others from his damaged telepathy? Was that to keep his thoughts from leaking out, that other telepathically sensitive sorts could pluck them as easily as one could pick flowers from a bed? Or was it that his telepathy had been so badly damaged that he was as telepathic as your average rock. from: Commodore Taybrim - Didn't See It Coming 1 1 Quote Link to comment

LCDR Aine O. Sherlock
Quote Engine troubles. Trajectory troubles. Sabotage. Fire. Gamma Radiation. Welcome to Starfleet where problems could exponentially compound in the space of minutes. Only thing we're missing is time travel..... 2 Quote Link to comment
Alora DeVeau
Quote Sherlock: ::half jokingly:: I wonder if wearing mittens will make it easier to defuse that bomb? I won't lie. When I first read this, I read 'kittens'. 2 Quote Link to comment

Alcyone Brennan
Quote Foster: Bare hands, huh? Renot: I was an idiot. Well, admitting it was half the problem. He respected that. Foster: I’m not disagreeing. ::he waved a hand and a corresponding antenna, not lecturing on it either.:: What was the situation that predicated it? Renot: Well, the proper answer is, well, that. Didn't think to get gloves, then we were pulling the thing apart before I could think of replicating or borrowing some. He paused and offered the slow one finger point towards Egil. Foster: I may recommend you retake engineering safety 101 in your down time. Renot: Yeah not my brightest moment. Foster: Look at the bright side. At least you didn’t lick it. 1 2 Quote Link to comment

Alcyone Brennan
Quote Foster: Dinner? ::He blinked, and told himself sternly to not make a stupid excuse:: I think I like dinners. I like to eat and I like to eat with other people… Good boy, Wyn! He mentally celebrated the stupid little fact that he didn’t come up with some piss poor excuse to go hide away in his quarters. That was positive progress and he was proud of himself. 1 2 Quote Link to comment
Sal Taybrim
Quote Blackwell: Academically, I find the cultural implications and motivations fascinating. When I actually have to deal with it - I tend to find it intensely frustrating when other individuals are using those rules of social conduct to cause friction rather than…and forgive the term, Social Lubrication. You said it, I didn't >.> 😂 4 Quote Link to comment
Sal Taybrim
Quote Renot: I’m afraid if I sit in that one, I will never want to leave. Permanent Engineer fixture. Perfect if your replicator breaks. You say that like it's a bad thing!! 😂 1 1 Quote Link to comment

Sal Taybrim
Quote He offered a faint shrug. He wasn’t entirely sure why he disliked them. They just tasted like water with a weird crunchy texture. If he was eating food, he’d like it to have flavour. Cucumbers look like they should be packed with flavour, but nope! Renot: It’s just crunchy water. Not a fan of celery either; crunchy water with strings. I like pickles though, I can eat an entire jar in one sitting. I'm not saying I agree with Egil 110% ... I'm just saying this quote is awesome... 😉 1 1 Quote Link to comment
Alora DeVeau
Quote Heck, the more he thought about it a permament engineer fixture sounded like a great idea. But you probably needed to pry them off the comfy chair regularly. Bathe them. Walk them. Hey, you too could get your own adorable engineer as a pet. Wyn has the best ideas! Sal Taybrim
Quote This was new. Calling a commander by their first name was something Ray would have to combat his academy discipline to do, but he would do whatever was necessary to prove himself. If the Commander wanted to be called by her first name, that’s what he would do. Sutter: You got it . . . Alora oO man, that feels weird Oo Welcome to Ops, where your command staff is on a first name basis! Excellent opening narration Ensign Sutter! 4 Quote Link to comment
Sal Taybrim
Quote Sill-con walked in rhythm and grace unlike the reputation his kind gets, he walked like a man with respect in front of him and honor behind his back, and not like a hulking stone man. This was a remarkable bit of character description! Excellent for setting up many interactions to come! Great work Ensign @Obsius Sill-con! 3 Quote Link to comment
Alora DeVeau
Quote When they crossed the campus boundary sill-con did not look back. it was as if the once-in-a-lifetime experience of graduating did not mean anything to him, he only looked ahead of him as he followed the first in command. despite being only 23 felt so jaded when he spoke or acted, he had this distant feeling to him as if he was oil in the middle of the sea. I really love this analogy! 2 Quote Link to comment

LCDR Aine O. Sherlock
Quote Tito: Entitlement and Stupidity. That would make a good title for a book, fit’s me like a glove. ::He leaned forward, with a sad smile on his lips.:: Do I still have time? Can I really change? I… In all truth, I am just weak. It's like Pride and Prejudice...but angry. But in all seriousness, @Vitor S. Silveira and @Arys, this series...❤️ 2 1 1 Quote Link to comment
LCDR Aine O. Sherlock
Quote The other Sherlock nodded in agreement. Their Sherlock sat back, trying to look relaxed but she couldn't help but cross her arms defensively. Catherine in the meanwhile tried to figure out which one she liked better. Quote Cat smirked, entertained at how their Sherlock was referred to as a thing. Then she caught their Sherlock's gaze (more of a glare, really) and raised her PADD to hide behind it. Quote Cat was somewhat relieved that Diata wasn't complaining about her. Maybe that was because Ensigns were always easier to blame? I am absolutely loving the narrative of Cat as written by @Arys! 2 Quote Link to comment
Sal Taybrim
This was my favorite bit of a truly wonderful sim! Quote Sherlock: No. ::long pause:: Maybe. I don't know. I just...I feel like I owe her something. Answers. Time. I don't know. Just something. Mel turned and set the mug of coffee down on the countertop. He moved closer to her. Standing at her side, he wrapped his arms low around her and rested his chin on the side of her head. It was a small gesture of comfort, one she didn't realize she needed. She could suddenly feel tears welling up in her eyes. A single sob came out as she spoke. Sherlock: I feel like I've lost so much. You, the Resolution, friends. Parts of myself even. Now, suddenly, there's a part of me I never knew existed before today. His arms moved up to her shoulders and he pulled her in closer, tightly. She could feel a couple tears roll down the front of her cheeks. Martinson: You've accomplished a lot more though. It's just that the losses always stick with us. Come on, let's go. 3 Quote Link to comment

Alora DeVeau
Quote If she hadn't been in a like-minded group, the mission would have failed. Nella's contribution was minimal. Ensign Noxwyn had gone off on what turned out to be a wild, dead-end errand with Lt. Parvana. It was pointed out to her indirectly during a recent mess-hall conversation with some enlisted crew that knowing where problems aren't can often be equal in value as knowing where the problems are. She wasn't sure she fully understood the wisdom, but she caught the gist and it raised her spirits. She had been involved. She had gone over. It happened the way it happened, and she now had a mission under her belt, even if she had just been a warm body. At least she didn't die. And not dying is half the battle. 2 1 Quote Link to comment
