Popular Post Jo Marshall Posted June 4, 2022 Popular Post Posted June 4, 2022 Awards Ceremony season is upon us, and it's time to get all dressed up for the big event! Before we launch our ceremony, we encourage everyone to change their forum avatar to their character wearing glamorous attire like the kind you'd see on the red carpet. There's no need to get things perfect – lots of players just find a picture of their character's actor somewhere on the web and use that, like so: But if you're looking for something more spiffy, you can also head to the Graphics Requests forum and open a new thread asking for some help. Make sure you leave plenty of time for the team there to help get something that works – best to start earlier than later! Once you have an image you like, you can change your forum avatar by following these instructions. Challenge: Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to create the designer name for your avatar's outfit. You can include as much or as little detail as you want. Loaned from the Nova Collection from Betazed? Stolen from the Qo'nos M'ritih museum? Designed by Bajoran protégé Gelys? A showpiece by the Trill artist Pana? Weave a tale around it and it'll be featured in an FNS article. 14
Popular Post Serala Posted June 4, 2022 Popular Post Posted June 4, 2022 (edited) Commander Jaelyne Isa is looking rather stunning in a simple black gown. Edited July 1, 2022 by Jaelyne Isa 23
Popular Post LCDR Aine O. Sherlock Posted June 4, 2022 Popular Post Posted June 4, 2022 Aine is rocking gold again this year. Her dresses lace work was commissioned from Romulan artisan craftsman and was hand done with a traditional form of Romulan knotting. 23
Popular Post Sera Posted June 4, 2022 Popular Post Posted June 4, 2022 Sera’s dress hails from the independent Earth designer, “Gherkin,” who is headquartered in San Francisco. She entered the eccentric designer’s showroom to escape one of the horizontal rain showers that the city is known for during her academy days. Illogically enamored with Sera’s svelte form, he took her as a muse and demanded to have the honor of dressing her for formal events which Starfleet is known for. He simply wouldn’t take “No” for an answer. Sera’s dress is bias-cut from Triaxian silk to best accentuate her form. The color used is Imperial purple which is slated to be the “Color of the season,” and is going to be featured heavily in Gherkin’s upcoming fall collection. Gherkin is quoted as saying “I think this color shall play magnificently against her creamy skin and verdant green eyes. It shall suit her like a moonlight sonata, darling.” Being mindful of Sera’s Vulcan, heat-loving nature, it is also lined with a heat retaining liner, which she finds most…agreeable. 23
Popular Post + Yalu Posted June 4, 2022 Popular Post Posted June 4, 2022 Yogan Yalu descended the grand staircase and entered the main awards hall six hours early. Confident that he wasn't going to be late, he proceeded to assist the staff in putting out the centerpieces dressed in a classic black tuxedo designed by Vulcan textile historian T'Pantz. Completing his look was a Bajoran silk bowtie by infamous D'jarra holdout Raunda Kollur, a patterned pocket square by Andorian allergist Onleefur sh'Neezin, and imitation eyeglasses by the only optician ever involuntarily dismissed from the Trill Science Ministry, Dr. Yucansi Jusfyne. 18 6
Popular Post Alieth Posted June 4, 2022 Popular Post Posted June 4, 2022 Following her tradition for the third year in a row, Alieth attended the ceremony in a Vulcan-designed dress. This year, however, in contrast to the traditional Chi-ree models she usually preferred, she has opted for a dress created by Kawarda of T'Paal, a revolutionary couturier from the shores of the Voroth Sea. Following T'Paal's traditions, this is a long dress set with hundreds of semi-precious stones, black and gold, in a technique known as og-tanaf, a complex style of embroidery with string laced with sehlat vibrissae. And yet, it features a dramatic bare-shoulder neckline, a common design on the temperate Voroth coast, but absolutely inadvisable in the continental areas, one that would elicit more than a few raised eyebrows in the traditional desert cities, and which has earned Kawarda the nickname of a disturber of peace and convention. Last but not least, she complements the dress with an IDIC of vintage design, possibly a family heirloom. 25
Popular Post Hallia Yellir Posted June 5, 2022 Popular Post Posted June 5, 2022 (edited) A garment of old Earth origin, Hallia was somewhat giddy to show off something that had been custom made just for an occasion like this. From an old friend who owed the Yelikan a favour, Moss Zoras, owner of the Bolian owned brand, Spill the Jeans. Despite them specializing in denim and setting a new wave of trends for Bolarus, she knew out of anyone, they would know how to pull off a particularly ancient garment such as this. A flowy gown, made from a delustered satin from earth and a sequin covered, tulle overlay. Spun from threads of silk from her home planet, she was excited to be showing off the craftsmanship of Yelik. From head to toe she was entirely decked out. Not to mention, the reds and pinks really seemed to compliment her skin and eyes, allowing the small pops of green to really catch the gaze of those she walked past. Popular Post + Hutch Posted June 5, 2022 Popular Post Posted June 5, 2022 Loxley is wearing exactly the same as last year. Because it was a lot of effort to get an actual suit made, so he has been (and will continue) to wear it for EVERY formal event until it falls apart. Weddings, funerals, awards ceremonies, fancy birthday meals - this suit. He has considered changing the tie, just to mix it up a little. 17 4

Popular Post Piweh Posted June 6, 2022 Popular Post Posted June 6, 2022 (edited) Lieutenant Commander Artinus Serinus from the Arrow arrived on the red carpet sporting a printed tux from Beauxtique in New Paris. According to Demetri Fulov, the designer, this red on black floral pattern is the perfect balance of feminine and masculine and is inspired by the warrior cultures of Fuedal Japan, and the Klingon Empire. It is a noted departure from wearing traditional Magna Roman formal, or a dress uniform like he has in the past. Edited June 6, 2022 by Artinus Serinus 19

Popular Post Maz Rodan Posted June 7, 2022 Popular Post Posted June 7, 2022 Lt.Commander Maz Rodan wondered if he’d beamed down to the right reception, or even the right decade. One of only a few individuals in the galaxy, Joined Trill and El-Aurians none withstanding, Maz actually remembers when mullets were the height of fashion. The First Officer of the Arrow sports a solid gold earring, which is only a clip on, since his mother would have a conniption. 16 3
