  7. @Samuel Woolheater Postings can take a little time to finalize, as they require the CO's approval and, what with timezones and people's work schedules, etc, sometimes they've gotta wait 'til evening time and such.
  8. Welcome to the Fleet and well done!

  10. LEGO Hopper: Any idea is a good idea except the non-happy ones. Those we push down deep inside where you'll never, ever, ever, EVER find them! (Checking In)
  11. This year's theme for Amity Outpost is "LEGO"... EVERYTHING IS AWESOME! We've included classic LEGO Minifigures as well as animated LEGO properties (e.g. Monkie Kid) in our theme! I confirm that we have: ✅ Properly named all avatar files and uploaded them to the wiki. ✅ Properly named our category on the wiki. ✅ Properly categorized our category on the wiki.
  12. Congratulations and welcome to the fleet!
  13. In the wake of Frontier Day, we are all exploring how our characters were affected by this momentous and devastating event. This has led, already, to myriad interesting stories and approaches to describing the impacts of F-Day -- one that caught me particularly by surprise was that of @Torvi Ylvor, who explored not only how the events have shaken their PC, Torvi, but also a PNPC from her past and the unique way in which 'her presence' tied into his experience of F-Day... 20. I generally have an idea of the character in mind and then try to think of an actor who has embodied some of those qualities on screen. Generally, when writing, I try to envision the scene as if I were writing a scene for an actual Trek series - and so I tend to refer to the mannerisms of the actors whom I choose as well, imagining them actually playing the part on television.
  21. Welcome aboard, all! We're happy to have you with us. 😃
  22. I am posting this here, in Appreciations because there is no forum where one can post sims that they did not appreciate... And let me tell you, I did not appreciate opening up my 118 inbox, reading this sim, and then struggling to hold in tears over this incredibly visceral sim from @MTMuir -- all while I'm trying to maintain composure at my work desk! Thanks a lot, buddy, now I need to take a few minutes to be okay!! 😅 Original Sim Here: https://groups.google.com/g/sb118-amity/c/mUcqJZqLDgQ/m/oqystBSPAAAJ
  23. Appearing at this year's Awards ceremony in a red cape dress which she claims was found "on a shopping trip with the girls around Amity's Mezzanine," Lt. Commander Robin Hopper is certainly making a bold statement. "Do I think I belong in red...? That's a loaded question. Who do you think you are?" she evaded -- dismissing reports indicating she may have recently turned down and offer to serve as the newly-launched USS Cambridge's First Officer. Some have speculated that the reason Hopper has continued aboard the far-flung Amity Outpost is her (now public) relationship with Chief Engineer, Lt. Nathan Richards. Speaking about their appearance together at this years' awards, Hopper commented, "I know last year I said we were just friends... I think we were fooling ourselves more than we were fooling anyone else."
