  1. A massive congrats to everyone! It's well-deserved for every one and all of you!
  2. That is the most poetic response to a stealth-inoculation I’ve ever read 😭 I legit teared up! EXCELLENT Sim, @Robin Hopper!!
  3. For Gila specifically, I developed her as a character primarily, and then searched for a bald actress that would be easy for the Image Guild to work with. That brought me to Shweta Tripathi who had a role as a woman with alopecia, and while the majority of her pictures are with a beautiful head of dark hair, I'm now married to that faceclaim. She just is Gila. I have an entire folder of potential Face Claims, however, and the order usually goes: I find an person of note I'd like to use for a Face Claim and save them for posterity. Then, when it's time for me to make a new char/PNPC, I develop the character in my mind before going through my Face Claims folder to see if the character I've created fits the vibe of any of them. Some Face Claims are reserved for specific alien species though 😄
  4. Not to be that junior officer, I don’t think it’s healthy getting @Addison MacKenzie’s old friends on board…
  5. Welcome to you both! You've joined the perfect mix of crazy and awesome on the internet, and I can't wait to see what you do with it! :D
  6. Lieutenant JG Gila Sadar of the USS Artemis-A arrives at tonight's Awards Ceremony in a tasteful and elegant number crafted by the Earth-based Human/Bajoran designer, Vyal Abdelaziz. Mr. Vyal's brand is best known for crafting immaculate outfits for a wide variety of alien species, and though this number is significantly more ordinary-looking than last year's exquisite Pahkwa-thanh Dress Coat, it suits the agonizingly ordinary Lieutenant well enough. Indeed, Lieutenant Sadar seemed uniquely ill-at-ease at the Awards, with the following picture only being taken after one of her colleagues went to substantial effort to direct her in her camera manners.
  7. Some Sims, I swear, are like watching a movie unfold in front of my mind's eye! An intriguing entry in the start of the Artemis' Blockbuster from our XO - @Talos Dakora - and the kind of Sim that has made the Borg Cube-infiltrators feel lucky about their assignment 😝 Win-Win Situation!
  8. HOW is this not featured yet!? @Toryn Raga setting up an excellent joke, and @LuxaLorana asking the right questions 🤣 "The Naked Now" (Ronin version) when?
  9. Ya'll better enjoy my best girl 😭 Also, hey, @Karrod Niac, she's learning!!!
  10. Yes, @Serala, I could not agree more 😅
  11. Have I mentioned how much I love our Vulcan crewmembers yet this week? 😂 I don’t know if ‘them eyebrows’ is a typo or not, @Salkath, but it absolutely elevated this piece!
  12. Wow, what a class! 😮 A HUGE welcome to you all and congrats on surviving the cadet cruise! You've joined the best looney bin on the internet, I can assure you! Can't wait to see you all on the Fleet Discord 😄
  13. @Savel continuing to prove why he’s the cream of the Security crop 💯
  14. @Jovenan proceeds to have the most entertaining PNPC in this damned fleet. Renirs is a gem no matter who she meets. 🤣
  15. Despite having the wiki to prove it, to newer Simmers such as me, it can be quite difficult to imagine just how long a history the fleet has, not to mention some of the wonderful writers that I now tell stories with on the USS Artemis. Similarly - like many Ensigns and Lieutenants on the installations we know and love from the Trek stories - the concept of a time where our Captains weren't the awe-inspiring and strong-willed people they are today is equally alien. @Addison MacKenzie's latest Sim definitely encapsulates that feeling of a storied background, both of an experienced writer who's dedicated YEARS of his life to writing amazing stories on various vessels, AND of a Captain who's seen so much, and is now trying her best to steer her crew through the many horrors their writers can come up with. An excellent Sim - as always - Captain, and thank you for the close-to-1-year of service you and your staff has shepherded me through 🫡 Couldn't have wished for a better starting vessel!
  16. Godspeed @Hiro Jones ❤️ And know that you left this fleet brighter and kinder than you found it.
  17. Anyone want to tell @Kel Solas, or should I? 😅

  19. @Jovenan Want a double-date to the counselor's office come shoreleave? 😢 To everyone else: Assassination plots are BAD for crew morale.
  20. And thusly, @Selkath provides us the most Vulcan way of saying 'understatement' I've ever read 🤣 Vulcan-Team Up is going to be an amazing read, I can tell
  21. A huge welcome back to Jay, the writer of Maxwell Traenor and the Artemis' newest Engineering Officer. And he came out of door swinging with this one Between him, Savel and Solas, the Artemis is once again suffering from the Vulcan TakeoverTM, but with quality sims like this one, I don't think we mind 🤣
  22. This is sus 🤨 What did you put in the replicator, @Karrod Niac?

  24. Best part about serving with a Vulcan is exchanges exactly like this 🤣
  25. I know I give @Addison MacKenzie gaff, but she's really quite amusing to read when her no-nonsense attitude ISN'T aimed directly at me 🤣
