Poll of the Week: First Contact Fears?
Piravao sh'Qynallahr replied to Randal Shayne's topic in Poll of the Month
Tasha could do it, and would love to do it. However, due to her poor diplomatic skills and lack of tact, it would probably end poorly. She makes up for her poor skills in this area with unbridled enthusiasm. -
Poll of the Week: Klingons and Visual Continuity
Piravao sh'Qynallahr replied to Laria Herren's topic in Poll of the Month
While I don't mind the changes overly much, what really bugs me (with any show, not just trek) is when radical changes aren't explained in canon. I could subject you all to a rant here, but I will restrain myself. -
2018 awards 2018 Red Carpet Fashion Report
Piravao sh'Qynallahr replied to Oddas Aria's topic in Past ceremony archive
Originally Tasha planned to wear her dress uniform, but Sevo told her that was "Bland" and "Boring". So instead Tasha has picked out an older style dress that could in no way be considered bland or boring. -
gorkon Funny things heard on the USS Gorkon
Piravao sh'Qynallahr replied to Paul Sharpe's topic in Appreciations
:: Well that said alarming things about the state of the ship’s security, would anyone bat an eyelid if Lieutenant Yiggtissi strolled through the corridors of the Gorkon wielding a chainsaw? Or would questions only be asked once Lieutenant MacFarlane took to running around with a flamethrower.:: - Lt zh'Aella Are you expecting me to run around with a flamethrower? Because I will- 461 replies

In a nutshell I had a really weird dream from the point of view of Tasha, among other things (such as my 9 year old sister driving a car) there was one part of this dream where Tasha was involved in a series of Scouting activities. We know from the Enterprise episode Rouge Planet that Scouting was still around in the 22nd century. There was a reference to them in The Wrath of Khan too. This odd dream led me to spend far too long pondering how Scouts may have evolved and changed from how I know it now to how it is in the late 24th century. Some of my thoughts were around the inclusion of other species. It makes sense in my mind that the Andorians, Vulcans, Trill and other races may have picked up on this idea. Or it could be possible that they had their own pre-existing versions? Another assumption I had was that there would be Scout troops on many Federation worlds. But, how much contact would troops have with those on other planets? Would a troop from earth visit one on Vulcan? Would a Vulcan troop go to Andoria for a camp? And what of Jamborees, we have an international Jamboree every few years, would there be an interplanetary Jamboree? How many thousands of people would attend that! My third major thought was centered around awards. How much has it changed? In Rouge Planet, Reed mentions that he received the exobiology badge, one which does not currently exist. How many others are there which are new? And which badges would have changed? One that we currently have is Aircraft Spotter, is there a Spacecraft Spotter? Please leave your thoughts below as I think it would be great to gather other opinions. Additionally, I now plan to add to Tasha's bio, it seems that she was a scout.

Hi there gaming enthusiasts I have been playing this Star Trek Card Game for a while now, helping the developers hunt down bugs and allow the game to run smoothly. A week or so ago it moved into early access on Steam and I though I should probably share it with you all. https://store.steampowered.com/app/815040/Star_Trek_Adversaries/ Edit: I should note that because it is still on early access there are still many bugs popping up and not all of the final features are available yet.

I quite like several Tarantino films, however a feel like a Tarantino Trek would get a solid Nay from me. I feel his style of film making wouldn't work very well for a Star Trek film.

Poll of the Week: Alternate Worlds
Piravao sh'Qynallahr replied to Laria Herren's topic in Poll of the Month
The Borg are one of my favorite baddies of all time. I would love to see the overrun universe from "Parallels" explored further. That being said, I would also love to explore the Mirror Universe and the Terran Empire further. -

I think that it is in some odd way racist, yes. Although still very amusing.- 461 replies

Ally: Da, where’s Harley’s weenie?::Alucard’s spoon clattered across the table. I too spat my spoon across the table. I was not expecting to see that age old question in a sim involving Ice Cream.- 461 replies

Poll of the Week: Self Defense in Starfleet
Piravao sh'Qynallahr replied to Randal Shayne's topic in Poll of the Month
Tasha is compentent in unarmed combat. She uses and equal mix of defence and attack in those situations. That being said, if she doesn't have an available phaser she would prefer to locate an object that she could substitute for a sword, and once she has her sword substitute, watch out! -

I would steal Trip Tucker from Enterprise.

Poll of the Week: A Passion for Fashion
Piravao sh'Qynallahr replied to Randal Shayne's topic in Poll of the Month
I have to agree with Vess. The Enterprise uniforms seemed the most practical and (in my mind) seemed the most realistic. -
My character is very close to her family. Unfortunately she doesn't get to see them often as they are on earth. However during our current shore leave on earth she is spending lots of time with them.

A recent estimate put worldwide scouting numbers somewhere between 25 and 40 million members. Therefore I don't believe that it will die out anytime soon. As a scout myself I can say that scouting is still going strong, and I reckon that it will most certainly survive until 2393 and far beyond that. Although it would probably look quite different.

I loved seeing Voyager land and I do wish that they had done it more often, and with other ships. It always looked so awesome when any ship was flying inside a planets atmosphere. Some of my favourite episodes of all time were ENT: Storm Front and VOY: Future's End, purely because we got to see some ships flying through the atmosphere of a planet. (And I like time travel)
