Typically both @Kimonzi Lahl Would you agree @Arturo Maxwell?

Looking at the life signs, it appeared the the Marines were either much better at their jobs than the team currently on the shuttle, or they were just luckier.

Morro was glad Zi was confident, It bolstered him Sbadni might be a Dread pirate captain, but they were StarFleet.

Wait...so Sbadni is the REAL Dread Pirate Roberts!?!?!

Nis: Time siege?

Avander was starting to wonder if the officers of this era just put “time” or “temporal” in front of everything to make it sound cooler.

Yes. They do...and it works, "time siege" sounds so cool.

Nilsen: We're Starfleet officers. I order you to show yourself.

She only didn’t face palm because she was holding a rifle in both hands.

Lahl: I don’t think he follows Starfleet orders sir.

This excerpt from @Lhandon_Nilsen's post really hit me.

Quote

All Lhandon could do was agree with Morro's assessment, and he nodded as he saw further unshed tears to come. The pain in Morro's eyes was as if they were screaming out for justice. A storm was brewing for Morro—one that needed answers, accountability, and some kind of resolution that, if Morro wasn't careful, might end up consuming him.

I'm not sure what hits the hardest. The part about the unshed tears? Because there are so many more to come for Morro. Or the part about justice, something he'll probably never get for an action that essentially took away his free will. I've had the "Z'Mat abusing Morro" element in the can for awhile and I thank @Lhandon_Nilsen for really working with me to explore it, and bring it to life with a character that knows a thing or two about rage. It's been perfect.

It was a pleasure to work with you on this storyline. You did the hard work, I was just there to look pretty! You should be so proud of the storyline you have for Morro. It's an epic piece of writing.

He walked her through each step of the dance in his mind. Like poetry. Using the body as a tool instead of a pen. Using the movements of the body instead of the words. Much like scratches on notebook paper. The movements ended up being more than the strokes on the page. The dance was about being in a place with friends, cheer, and good will. A gathering of sorts. Caras memories seemed to associate it with family, a tribe, or a clan. A common purpose and general well being. By letting her know the dance, he was letting her into his inner circle. He thought about the movements and explained their meeting and feelings without words. Like learning another language like sign language, but also structure like poetry.

The @Morro Caras Savantha Saa JPs coming out have been an absolute highlight of this shore leave even if they're backsims. I could've picked out ten or twenty favorite lines, but this was definitely a highlight. I hope y'all are saving these!

Greaves: Seems like my reputation precedes me. I’m glad it’s a positive one. I’ve got two rules of leadership I try and follow: one, be good, and two, be a good guy.

Sh’shelor: Response

Greaves: It’s a lot deeper than that. The first part means to be competent in everything you do. Technical tasks, tactical understanding, leadership; if you’re not competent, you need to fix that. The second part is about empathy. Never lose sight that we’re a people-first organization. There will be plenty of times when the mission comes first. Whenever we can carve out a time to put people first, that’s a win.

Love this, such a great description of Starfleet at its best

What is this delicious sounding noodle incident  @Jania Nis 😂

Nhoush: =/\= Nhoush to Nis. That engineer’s stuck in the Jeffries tube again. =/\=

Jania groaned.

Nis: =/\= Oh, come on! We're in the gym! Can't you-- =/\=

Nhoush: =/\= You -know- Dr. Toz said I don't have to go into the Jeffries tubes after the Noodle Incident =/\=

Nis: :: sighing :: =/\= Fine. Send the tube location to our PADD. We're on our way =/\=

Arlill: There’s a memo on my desk marked confidential, I’m sure it’s about our next mission. I’ve not read it yet.

Maxwell: Neither have I. ::He broke into a broad grin.:: I'm guessing the keycode tae your office is still one two three four?

@Morro Caras Feeling pretty care free about limbs on the OEB; particularly when we had 2 severed ones already last month.

Quote

Caras: Look, the worst thing that could happen is that you lose a limb, but the most likely thing to happen is a severe burn. The doctor is right here. This device hasn’t let us down yet… then again we’ve been using very weak force fields to test it.

His brows furrowed and his face frowned as he considered less point-and-shoot alternatives. An errant thought passed his mind on if it’d been Jack and Kimonzi here, rather than him and Salo, if they’d encourage Anton’s previous idea.

Kimonzi was looking at the computer readouts again. This shouldn’t be as slow as it was. Morro better not be getting injured down there rather than making the necessary repairs.

Meanwhile...

The scalpel blade penetrated the field and touched the manual release. He’d done it! The hallway lights flickered red, and the doors to the core hissed open.

Then Morro experienced nothing but the color white, then the color black. Then color pain.

Avander allowed his lips to curl into a half-smile. It was probably just as well that the lieutenant didn’t have a phaser in her hands…

Because we all know how trigger happy @Kimonzi Lahl is.
