With the new ship up and going now, it's time for an appreciative quote thread. Did someone write a quote that was hysterical? Absolutely soul-destroying? Or maybe just the best thing you've ever seen? Well post about those little quotes here. I'll go first.

This little interaction between @Karrod Niac and @Toryn Raga from their intro JP made me snort. 🤣

Niac:  If I show up in skants they’ll have me out the airlock before the end of the day.  Besides, we’d need the main phaser array to shave my legs and the last engineering report I read said it’s still offline.  ::Karrod stood and stretched his back with a groan.::  Let's go, you can make sure I don’t get lost.  I’m still getting used to a ship where the Bridge isn’t on deck one.

Listen, I know the whole sim this quote is from was put on the appreciations (and for good reason), but this beginning bit from it in particular keeps sending me every time I look at it from Gott, as written by @Karrod Niac because "gefselfblibnated" is quite the word 😆

Karrod stood and strode towards the viewscreen with a measured gait, thinking of some of the more officious and cliche things he could say at such a singular moment in his career.  The launch of the very first vessel under his command.  A new era for the Alpha Isles, as the Starfleet Press Corps and Federation News Service were loudly proclaiming it.  It was a moment for pageantry as far as Starfleet Command was concerned and had invited representatives here from a large number of local unaligned species for a chance to fly the flag in front of prospective allies.  It was a moment Karrod would remember for the rest of his existence and, thanks to Niac, for lifetimes beyond imagining.

Of course, it was absolutely untrue that she had less sense of direction than a limping, blind myrmidex on a space station, it was just that her mind was too busy on the next steps she needed to take.
