"That's supposed to be on fire" - And other stuff you can hear on the USS Thor

Kel turned back to his console to begin looking at the data pouring in from the sensors.  The Enterprise, the one with the bald captain, had also run into a crystalline entity.  It had communicated with the ship via graviton pulses.

I couldn't help it.  I laughed at the bald captain remark.

Kel: oO Oh please let it be a scientist more qualified than me. Oo

Don't underestimate yourself!

Suffice to say, after hearing a few distant bangs, an argument about the date, Anton revealed himself to the party once again.

Wait...THE date, or *A* date?

I'm not sure whether to feel insulted or complimented, but either way I feel singled out @Anton Richards!

Wes… Well he’s a marine. Discomfort is like a badge of honour or something to them.

Richards: I suppose it couldn’t hurt.

Anton just realized what he had said. It almost always hurt.

Poor Anton.

Kel: ::holds his head:: I'm going to need to take two aspirin and call myself in the morning.

Who doctors the doctor? 😄

Kel:  Lt. Reid, can you reach her using your mind?  Can you tell her we're still out here? oO Patients like to know the doctor is still listening Oo

Anton’s mind reading magic powers were slim in comparison to Reids. He hoped she would be able to gain something that Anton could not. Something other than the overwhelming feeling of hunger.

Richards: And tell him that I say hi!

Maybe Richards should be in PR. 😄

Even with their lower level of technology, the Thor was by no means safe. It wouldn't take much for the tables to turn between previous damage and the creature's strange energy build-ups. Wes found his heart beating hard in his chest. The Marine wanted nothing more than to jump over his chair and take the tactical console himself. Every day of his training, every fight he'd been in, Wes had been shoulder to shoulder with the grunts he led. Phaser rifle in one hand, communicator in the other, he'd shared foxholes and charged bunkers with his Marines. Leading from the bridge of a starship however, was a special hell. It was a slower fight. One in which you saw your doom or your victory coming minutes before it arrived. It was a fight where the leaders played chess, and the officers manning the stations moved the pieces. It was a fight, Wes decided, that he'd happily trade for a phaser and a trenchline.

I really liked this narration here.  Gave me a good sense of the character and what he's feeling.

Pressing a few buttons in rapid succession, the office doors hissed open. Wes motioned to Jack to follow him in and then stepped through the doorway, only to be affronted by what can only be described as an assault on the eyes.

Greaves: What in the actual ---

The office was upside down... and pink. Very, very pink. And was that a flamingo?

Hanging from the ceiling was every piece of furniture in the room. The desk itself was decorated in neon frills of some kind of pink fabric, and sitting in the chair was a lone plastic bird with black eyes. Eyes that peered into his soul.

Why yes.  Yes it is.

Corelli: Wha-?

He answered with noodles hanging half out of his mouth, being ripped from the intimate gastronomical study.

This gave me a chuckle.  Visions in my head. LOL

Kessler: ::smiling at V’Len:: How did you like that take down? Bet it looked pretty good from back there didn’t it? ::laughing::

Kel: Picture perfect I'd say.  Greaves would have been impressed.

I dunno, Greaves has pretty high standards. 😄

Kells: I fully expect to see more pips on your collar before long. Lieutenant Basilia, Commander Basilia – even Captain Basilia. The sky’s the limit!

But wait...this is space...didn't we...you know...break that limit already? 😄

Toz: Only what I’ve learned in the past couple of minutes. Research guys. Peaceful, studious types. Probably couldn’t crawl their way out of a baby blanket.

Surely they're not quite *that* helpless!

I was going to share this one too.  Made me laugh out loud.  Nice job Toz.

@Tony, aka Kells  really?  We’re fully competent my friend.  😬

“From their perspective, that wasn't a bad idea. They didn't seem particularly competent, which made them more dangerous in a way, since they didn't seem too concerned with hurting anyone along the way.”

“Ulasso watched as 72 probes were fired down into the atmosphere. He couldn't help but wonder how much just one of those probes cost, and how many bottles of Saurian Brandy you could buy with those funds.”

@Ulasso 😂😂😂🥃🥃🥃😵💫😵💫😵💫

Nelv: Ru we should leave, we can seal these people off and nuke the site from above.  It’s the only way to be sure.

Pirate Ru: ::chuckling at Nelv:: You sound like your sister Ripples, she likes a nuke too.

@Jack Kessler its true, she does.  And it is the only way to be sure.

When I first read that I was laughing and my laugh asked what was so funny. I read the line to her and she smirked and said "Aliens, yes I get it....Scifi nerds." I was sitting there with my jaw on the floor that she new the refence.

Hey, they're trying really hard!

I mean, someone had to say it eventually...

Indeed he was, though Aron could see clearly from where he rested that Ru was fine. Well, mostly fine. Mostly unconscious, too. But probably fine.

Probably.

Maybe.

Until he was transported out into space...now he is a popsicle! LOL, which is fine. Toz and I talked it over and I think it gives way for some other development on my part.
