A thrilling and sublime sim here from @Tahna Meru who takes us from moment to moment without missing a trick. She's mastered the art of giving us a real time perspective from her characters point of view, and yet still manages to cleverly thread words and ideas from other characters into her sim in a way that really makes the whole scene come together. There is such a novelesque quality to this closing sim, which is no surprise knowing that it came from @Quinn Reynolds. Solkon suspects that the equipment in Sickbay may have been sabotaged when it starts acting up, and Taeval gently steers him in another direction with a shift in tone that was beautifully done and a thoroughly enjoyable read. "The crew are coming to terms with an existence in a Borg dominated galaxy. Almost everyone’s acting out of the ordinary. Half are in a daze, and the other half are manic." I'm loving @Solkon's sims—Vulcan's are such a fun species, and in this sim we immediately get a huge taste of it from Solkon's perspective. The pacing back and forth, the logical confidence in putting forward his thoughts, opinions and ideas. I'm excited to see where they take it. Wonderful stuff! Taelon does a wonderful job of describing the initial moments of a harrowing "time shift" event on the USS Gorkon here, as the universe changes around them and reveals a galaxy completely ruled by the Borg. It's a really fun read from the distinct perspective of an El-Aurian, along with a couple of additional characters that Taelon's writer uses to really set the scene. Great sim! Lieutenant Doz Finch arrives in some smart and sleek black attire, freshly replicated and with an added touch to one of the shoulders. "Stitched a couple of stones in, love. Thought it needed that extra bit of something!" And not far behind her is Diplomatic Officer, Ensign Miaxdiso Avoi, in a custom designed and tailored Idridian gown. Betazoid designer Astrim Avoi, Miaxdiso's very own father, created the dress using flowers procured from the Piri Islands of Betazed, and by utilising some fascinating freeze-technology, dehydrated the blossoms (or something like that), later weaving them with precision and a certain sort of storytelling into the dress itself. Accompanying it, she wears a set of sparkling earrings by Betazoid designer Memoxi Treidam, a matching purse by another Betazoid designer Odrun Ivoistri, and heels from the House of Esoi.
