Popular Post Lhandon_Nilsen
Our newest ensign @Jania Nis giving a lesson in psychology that brings joy to both myself and @Avander Promontory Quote Nis: This is your brain, here, Ensign Guthrah. Up front is the part of your brain that works in a team. ::As she spoke, she opened her hand again to reveal her thumb, and pointed to it:: This is the Amygdala--what earth psychologists used to call your lizard brain. It's not quite accurate, but metaphors are useful when we're scared. You're thinking with your lizard brain now. That's silly, right? To help people, you have to think like a person, not a lizard. 5 Quote Link to comment
Popular Post Alora DeVeau
Quote Then Caras heard a loud ping come from his tricorder. Then another. Then another. It was coming from all the tricorders. It was coming in like text messages to a Commander that had just been promoted to captain. It was beeping like the fan mail terminal of an Orion pop star. 3 3 Quote Link to comment

Lhandon_Nilsen
Quote Caras: I’ll fix this, I promise, even If I have to spend my leave doing it. (beat) Launching torpedoes. With that Morro launched the torpedoes from the shuttle. He remembered the long access shaft he traversed when the down didn’t have power. The same one he carried Kessler down for what seemed like an hour. The Unity Dow rocked a little, as the torpedo blew a hole in the cargo bay. Hopefully it would be large enough that the nodes would be able to find their way to the Wild Seed https://youtu.be/8g_GeQR8fJo?si=EMHM9Pi9mH58cr_0 @Morro Caras 2 2 Quote Link to comment
Lhandon_Nilsen
Quote Herrick: (caught off guard) Um… I suppose we’d want to combine you back together. Josh hadn’t stopped to realize that these were two distinct beings, and they might want their own independence. He wondered if there was any precedence for randomly cloned officers to continue serving in the fleet. *cough* Thomas Riker *cough* Don't worry. I think everything turned out fine for him. @Josh Herrick Edited August 22 by Lhandon_Nilsen 3 Quote Link to comment
Lhandon_Nilsen
Quote Maybe Caras shouldn’t have said push earlier. He meant ram. He manually rammed the console. Like a rugby player doing a tackle, forcing the aperture. Those rugby scrum techniques were already paying off. Lhandon right now is this gif @Morro Caras 4 Quote Link to comment

Google is my friend in this. I've learnt a lot about the sport since writing for Lhandon. It's also had the (and I'm not complaining about this) side effect of filling my tiktok feed up with rugby players. 2 Quote Link to comment
Lhandon_Nilsen
Quote Rivka looked to the ensign and noticed spots. oO Oh, is this one of those joined species? Oo That might make a good next subject for her research! Ah yes, that's what ensigns are for...research @Avander Promontory 4 Quote Link to comment
Lhandon_Nilsen
Quote Maybe Nilsen had a point about transferring to Ops, more day-to-day, less getting stuff blown up in your face. Lhando would sign that transfer for Eli in a heartbeat. @Josh Herrick 1 2 Quote Link to comment
Karen Stendhal
Quote Stendhal: So now who wants to grab a drink? Rivka kinda still did. But not with that counselor. Even if she wasn’t in an attacking mood. Rivka just needed some space away from her. No more than a hundred years tops. @Avander Promontory🤣🤣🤣 Lol !!! 3 Quote Link to comment
Lhandon_Nilsen
Quote Sh’shelor: Shut up Nilsen and get on the bed or I will pick you up and put you there. Sh’shelor had said what Morro’s little inner green devil had thought. But she actually had said it aloud. Morro was too strict on his own military bearing to tell a senior officer to shut up. Even if they were his friend. The circumstances were too long for him to do that. StarFleet was all about respect, and earning your position. Morro was both surprised, and intrigued, this was the one bit of personality he had seen from her that wasn’t just “Marine” in his mind. Was she being playful? Morro was pretty sure she meant it, but… why did she mean it? Caras: ::gasp:: Lieutenant Sh’shelor! You can’t talk like that to Lieutenant Nilsen…. ::looking to Lhandon:: can she? @Morro Caras clutching the pearls in this scene 😂 3 Quote Link to comment

Jania Nis
Quote Jack’s eyes drifted back towards the young girls bedroom door as he thought about ‘everyday things’. Things that he and his parents did together that for all intents he had taken for granted. Things that were just an everyday happening that he cannot have with them any longer. He had always valued time with his parents but now felt that he had not appreciated the time in a way it should have been. He would not do that with Krystal, time was important and more so now that he understood how frail time and life really was. OMG Jack Kessler hitting me right in the feels 😭 😭 😭 I feel like I need to go hug my kid after reading that sim lol Edited September 11 by Jania Nis 2 Quote Link to comment
Lhandon_Nilsen
Quote They had had enough officers assaulting others during the previous mission and Avander certainly didn’t want to add more paperwork burden to the crew without need. @Avander Promontory wondering when the paperwork will end. It's part of the reason we don't punch the incompetent admirals that showed up in TNG and DS9. It's less paperwork to deal with a major diplomatic innocent then it is to deal with the assault of an Admiral. 2 Quote Link to comment

Karen Stendhal
Quote Jania put on a shimmering miniskirt with small half-circles of tin. She’d spent nearly an hour on her hair, putting it in ringlets that matched the half-circles on the miniskirt. It was slicked down to show off her spots. She stared at herself in the mirror, singing softly and imagining the fun she was about to have on the Dyson ring. @Jania Nis This description of Jana's outfit is fantastic! 4 Quote Link to comment
Lhandon_Nilsen
Quote Convening a session of the Command Officers Promotion Association (COPA) was unfortunately becoming more frequent than recently, due to fallout from Frontier Day. Still, these younger commanders were proving themselves ready and able. You have got to watch out for these troublemakers, they are up to something, leave them alone too long and they'll plan meetings...and even *gasps* pranks. Those senior officers are going to get themselves into trouble, mark my words. Damned youths old folks. @Avander Promontory 2 Quote Link to comment

Josh Herrick
@Alora DeVeau This speaks to my high social anxiety; exactly what I would do and think! Quote Toz: Hi! Just got here. You know I love trees. Most people did. Without trees, life on most M-class planets couldn’t exist, and they were necessary to a properly balanced ecosystem. Peri was certain there were probably exceptions, but those were surely in the minority. Katsim: Oh…well. This is a good place to find trees. Inwardly, she cringed at her response, finding it not particularly helpful or interesting. 3 Quote Link to comment
