Popular Post Serala Posted September 22, 2022 Popular Post Posted September 22, 2022 I'm slain. I'm just slain. 🤣🤣 Quote Levinson: Out of the way! Move! Noa was doing her best not to outright shout as she was running in the corridors. She didn’t really have time to think of a plan on how to contain what she was chasing, with how quickly it moved. She was just monitoring an experiment of part of the science department’s latest attempts at creating a rubber-like material, ensuring it was much more elastic and durable than rubber. It definitely had its uses - such as absorbing shocks in lieu of inertial dampeners, but still being in the testing phase, the sample was held inside a level 9 forcefield and spherical in shape for easier measurements. What couldn’t be anticipated, however, was that Crewman Pics’s instruction to display the data on a nearby monitor would be interpreted by the computer as "disable the forcefield around the obviously active experiment". Long story short, what was quite possibly the bounciest bouncy ball in Federation history was now bouncing amok around deck 10. 1 5 Quote
Popular Post Serala Posted October 11, 2022 Popular Post Posted October 11, 2022 This one by @Esa_Darkkdust speaks for itself 🤣 Quote Mei’konda: All riight, everyone aboard. The technicians finiished the pre-flight before we got here. Not exaactly standard procedure, I know, but neiither is the emergency stop the Chin’toka’s goiing to do to in order to get us out and on our way as soon as possible so that they can reach the star wiithout delay. Snow: Anything specific we need to do before or when this happens? oO Put your head between your legs and kiss your bum goodbye? Oo Probably not wise to say that one out loud though… 5 Quote
Serala Posted October 26, 2022 Posted October 26, 2022 And this is why I absolutely love reading sims from @Valin Dermont ... 😂 The internal monologue and his snark are just so funny to me.... Quote oO Oh, lookie, I'll need ta make sure the plasma conduits are properly calibrated. The feedback o' tying the tractor beam straight inta the core...power's gonna be shootin' all over the place. No issues about life inside o' stars concernin' this 'ere engineer... Oo and this one... Quote Dermont did snort a bit at that comment. As if anyone on board was going to be able to rest for the next four days. and yet another in the same sim ... Quote He glanced over at Ral's station. The lad had multiple screens going, likely running all sorts of mathematical computations about probes and tractor outputs and warp core detonations. He and Levinson...a pair of geniuses, really. oO I'd say they only let geniuses join Starfleet but they let me in, eh? So evidence ta the contrary! Oo and yet one more... Quote This should be interesting. They had graduated from not knowing for sure anything is possible, to definitely knowing some things just weren't possible. And maybe some certain things might be possible. Maybe. oO Captain should be thrilled. Oo 1 1 1 Quote
Serala Posted July 25 Posted July 25 Time to revive this thread along with the relaunch of the ship. This one comes from @Daniel McGillian Jr, our tactical officer, who is none to thrilled with Serala's plan to go out with guns blazing... Quote Serala: Right. I may be Starfleet, but I am also Romulan. And Romulans never surrender. We’re not going down without a fight. If we die today, we die with honor. Let’s give them one hell of a fight and let the name Chin’toka be remembered for more than just a battle site in the Dominion War. McGillian: oO I'd really rather not repeat "The Alamo" here. Oo 1 1 2 Quote
Alora DeVeau Posted July 26 Posted July 26 @Serala My only disappointment is that you didn't use, "Never give up! Never surrender!" 2 Quote

IsKah Posted July 27 Posted July 27 Is'Kah bit Borg @TAma and she didn't take it well Quote She aimed carefully. This time she would eliminate the unassimilated. Pain bit literally into her shoulder and she was knocked forward, causing her shot to go wild. She whirled with the fun sized Vulcan hanging on to her shoulder like an angry chihuahua and slammed her backwards into the wall trying to shake her off. 1 2 Quote
Sylvie Doucet Posted July 27 Posted July 27 Quote Is’Kah: T’Ama, you’re stronger than this. Fight them, or I will keep biting you until morale improves. You heard her, folks. The biting will continue until morale improves. 1 Quote
LCDR Aine O. Sherlock Posted July 28 Posted July 28 Quote And now their trajectory was changing…. Unto most likely certain death. To say that the Enterprise-F outclassed them, was equivalent to comparing an injured mantis shrimp to a great white shark. They needed a bigger boat. Or a 7 meter mantis shrimp. 1 1 2 Quote
IsKah Posted July 29 Posted July 29 Mental note, don't upset Borg @TAma if you don't want to become pesto Quote An angry Vulcan only half disconnected from the Collective that’s urging violence doesn’t have a whole lot of self control when targets align. Quick as a flash T’Ama struck Is’Kah, slapping her so hard in the face her jaw was canted alarmingly to the side, no longer lining up with the rest of her face. The blood rushed loudly in her ears, drowning out the cacophony of voices in her mind. Screw this Collective. Her vision, already physically missing on her right side, narrowed even further. There was but one goal now: beat Is’Kah until she was a green paste indistinguishable from pesto. 4 Quote

Quentin Beck Posted August 3 Posted August 3 @TAma's delirium is delightful Quote T’Ama: ::crescendoing in song:: But I’m up at night thinking I just might lose it aaaaa-aaaaaa-AAAALLLL!!! 3 Quote
LCDR Aine O. Sherlock Posted August 4 Posted August 4 And along with all the other singing posts, our new Doc had some fun with it too! Quote Edrei: ::singing:: Your turn away with a sigh. T’Ama / Doucet / Brodie: Responses Looking up, Leenaya noticed they’d caused somewhat of a scene in Sickbay and were getting quite the looks from passing people. She had trouble determining if it was due to T’Ama’s loud chanting or the fact that they’d joined her in her shenanigans. In any case, Lee decided she couldn’t care less about it. It felt weirdly cathartic to sing in such a dire situation, and stress she didn’t know she had left her body. Edrei: ::singing:: You said you felt patronized. T’Ama / Doucet / Brodie: Responses The singing slowly died down, and the absurd but magical moment they’d shared lingered as the sedative really took hold of T’Ama. Edrei: Well, that was fun. 3 Quote
IsKah Posted August 8 Posted August 8 I love quotes like this from one of the better Star Trek movies ever by @Serala Quote Serala: Never give up. Never surrender. 1 1 1 Quote
Popular Post Serala Posted August 18 Popular Post Posted August 18 Along with some really great sims for President Chekov by @TAma, this one really stands out: Quote Serala: Mister President, do you want to say any words before we begin? Chekov: =/\= Thank you, Captain. Crew of the USS Chin’toka, this is your President speaking. Do not believe the Borg when they say resistance is futile. That is what they want you to believe, so that you will lay down and allow them to destroy Earth and the Federation. But we have seen here today already that Starfleet will resist, even when our own people are turned against us - against their will - we resisted. Will continue to resist, and we will prevail. If there is one thing my father taught me, it is that there is always hope even in the darkest hour. I know that each of you still have some tricks up your sleeve so let us all do everything we can to save the Federation! =/\= 5 Quote
Popular Post Leenaya Edrei Posted August 30 Popular Post Posted August 30 Quote Way too many young men attempted a moustache only to fail, in Sylvie’s considered opinion, mostly because they simply could not grow one to save their lives. @Sylvie Doucet can be savage at times and I'm here for it 3 1 1 Quote
Serala Posted September 1 Posted September 1 Every time I read a sim from or including Rox from now on, I am going to be picturing Bugs Bunny... Quote Rox: ::loudly:: Eh what's up doc? 1 3 Quote
Serala Posted September 1 Posted September 1 And then there's this part from the same sim with V'Len Kel and Rox: Quote The pair began to eat and for a few minutes no words passed between them. Then Rox paused in her consumption of the Tandoori chicken before her. Rox: So what's six inches long, two inches wide and makes everyone go crazy. V'Len was caught off guard by her complete nonchalance with a question that in his mind only had one answer. His cheeks warmed and his antennae twitched. Kel: Is that really an appropriate question for a superior officer? Rox: It's a strip of latinum, Kel. Get your mind out of the gutter. 1 3 Quote
TAma Posted September 16 Posted September 16 Brodie so serious until suddenly he's not. Quote Alex leaned back on the console and it made a noise of complaint as he, essentially, tried to butt-dial a galactic map. 2 2 Quote
Popular Post Serala Posted September 21 Popular Post Posted September 21 I almost posted this entire sim, but the way T'Ama reacts to Serala sudden change in topic and most unusual request has really tickled me since I first read this post, and wanted to share it here. For context, the pair had been discussing how they could create an Operations Center and restructure/relocate the education center, not entirely agreeing but coming to a compromise. And then Serala changes gears completely. The quotes are long, but I think are quite fun. Enjoy. Quote Serala smiled a sly grin which only made T’Ama’s eyebrow crank a few notches higher. Serala: I am planning my wedding. It is to be held at my family’s estate in Bogotá. I have invited anyone from this crew that wishes to attend, along with the crew of the USS Astraeus. It’s going to be very soon, and I really could use someone who is skilled in logistics to help me pull this off. Since you seem to be excellent at it, I was wondering if I could enlist your aid? T’Ama: Are you asking me to be your wedding planner? Serala: response T’Ama: How soon is very soon? Serala: response That was very soon. T’Ama: What kind of wedding are you going for? Human? Romulan? She was most familiar with Vulcan ceremonies of course, having witnessed her mother’s when she married her step-father when she was seven. What she knew about human ones was mostly gleaned from Earth media she had consumed. Romulan ceremonies would take some research. Serala: response T’Ama: Do you have an officiant? Serala: response T’Ama: Okay, good. What about food? What kind? Serala: response T’Ama: What about decorations? Colors? Flowers! Whatever’s in season? Serala: response 5 Quote
Popular Post TAma Posted September 21 Popular Post Posted September 21 Serala's over the top detailed responses are equally amusing. Quote T’Ama: Okay, good. What about food? What kind? Serala: Romulan, definitely. Probably Romulan Mollusks, Romulan Ale, viinarine, aesohll which is a Romulan tea that I adore. Hlai’vna, which is a flightless bird much similar to the Terran Ostrich, but much tastier. And definitely some soah (chocolate) and aemarau turnovers. But I would also like to have some traditional Colombian dishes as well. Maybe bandeja paisa, arepitas fritas con guacamole, arepas, aji picante, empanadas, ajiaco, and some aguardiente to drink. And for the non-alcohol drinkers cholado and coffee. Oh, and for dessert we absolutely must have postre de natas and merengón de fresas. We’ll also need to account for any exotic appetites of the guests in the event the items being served are unpalatable or even harmful to their digestion. T’Ama: What about decorations? Colors? Flowers! Whatever’s in season? Serala: Colors are easy. A dark emerald green and deep violet to reflect the Romulan heritage that Jorin and I share. As for flowers, I was thinking Motley Meriania, Aphrodite’s Orchid, and the Christmas Orchid which is the national flower of Colombia. And then for the green, I was thinking we could use some Chrysothemis. And, of course, we’ll need some ferns as well, although there are quite a few of those at the villa already. 3 1 1 Quote

Popular Post Lael Rosek-Skyfire Posted October 19 Author Popular Post Posted October 19 Definitely a laughing moment. Sherlock's awkward response and thoughts here nearly killed me. Bravo @Sherlock ---- T’Ama: Hmmm, still just drinking water? Still sucking down her milkshake, the Vulcan woman closed one eye and studied the Lieutenant Commander. Dr. Harford, more than a little tipsy, looked between the two none too subtly. oO Water? What’s the Vulcan got against Water? Oo Harford: ::mumbles:: At the bar with a milkshake and a water. ::rolls eyes:: Sherlock: Yeah. I'm sure. I ::beat oO don't Oo:: only want water. I'm just ::beat oO pregnant Oo:: really thirsty. 2 4 Quote
