Popular Post + Gila Sadar Posted August 3, 2023 Popular Post Posted August 3, 2023 (edited) Look, I'm not saying that the Artemis has the ABSOLUTE BEST PNPC in the entire damn fleet... But we SO do. @Jovenan's PNPC, a Trill Engineer with a habit of knocking in officer heads with a spanner and mentally badmouthing the bridge crew at every chance she gets, has taken us by storm, and many of us look forward to Jozial Renirs' appearances with absolute glee. Obviously, you all shouldn't be any different. (Also, if you want to maniacally cackle as you see 'The Hyperspanner Hitman' go ham on Osuna's skull during their first meeting, here you are.) Quote ((Library, Deck 4, USS Artemis)) Gabe had given her a lot to think about. She had had her training, but nothing prevented Jozial from switching departments now that she had been posted. After all, she had made unforgettable impression to the senior staff of the ship, and she would also receive Gabe’s formal recommendation for an intra-ship transfer any day now. And not to just any department, but the Intelligence! She had even tried on her soon-to-be uniform. The black was a bit dull colour, but it was worth it. Besides, she could always decorate it, give it some flair. At least, she would as soon as she’d catch Talos. She had tried reaching him right after the meeting with Gabe, but in vain. It was as if he was avoiding her, but that was of course ridiculous. Why would anyone want to avoid her? Nah, it was likelier that he was having “fun” shore leave on the Cat Planet with some stupid officer friends of his. You’d think he would call his cool new friend sometimes, but no! And until that happened, she was a maintenance technician. One that had irritated the Supervising Petty Officer by spreading bioneural gel all over the Jefferies Tubes and damaged a hyperspanner by hitting a senior officer with it. That meant extra work for her, and not even any nice work, no. Renirs: ::irritated:: Done! And don’t break them again! Everyone in the library turned to her as she turned around and marched out, fuming her exasperation. The scold of a librarian stood up behind her desk, ready to berate her, but the doors closed as she left. The Supervising Petty Officer didn’t trust her with Jefferies Tube duties anymore. Nor would they allow her to touch the replicators. Nor the holodecks. Nor the EPS manifolds. No, she would be checking and switching light elements in every darned public utility. And the darned ship was full of lights. She had just inspected all of them in the library and changed the faulty ones. It’s the year 2400, why did they even have a darn library!? She stopped a turbolift down. The Supervising Petty Officer wanted her to do the lights on the corridor adjacent to the Main Engineering next. They must have selected the areas as far as possible from one another to irritate her as much as possible. Well, it did work. It worked so well she was ready to kill the Supervising Petty Officer with a decoupler. Trying to figure out the best way to skin a person with a dull tool, she stepped into the turbolift. There was another person in there, too, but she didn’t care looking at them. That is, until the person spoke to her. Kliss'lai: Hello again. Renirs: ::angry:: Shut u… ::realization, calmer:: Oh, you. Uh, hi, sorry. Hello! Kliss’lai. The Andorian sharpshooter who had shot her in the Jefferies Tubes. The one that had breathed the narco gas and called her pretty. Jozial blushed. Kliss'lai: I just hope you're not packing a spanner this time. oO No, just happy to see you! Oo Renirs: Haha, they don’t let me use those anymore! Yeah, telling a girl you can’t be trusted with tools is a sure way to get her. Should have gone with the joke. They stood a metre or two apart in the turbolift. Jozial had turned to face the closed door, hoping Kliss’lai wouldn’t notice her obvious blush, and more importantly, trying to keep her own eyes off the Andorian officer. Trying. She couldn’t help taking a peek at her every now and then. Kliss’lai wasn’t wearing the typical uniform, similar as Jozial was wearing right now, but instead had a swimsuit and a towel. Kliss’lai must have noticed her peeking. Kliss'lai: I uh ... was swimming. Jozial looked her up and down, as if the statement had given her an excuse to turn her head and see what she was talking about. From her cute, purple pixie hair to her beautiful, blue le… No, focus! Say something! Renirs: You look very oO naked Oo great! Uh, athletic. Nice. No! Sporty. Relaxed. Yeah. Not that you asked but, uh… Kliss’lai: Response? Her entire face was red. She quickly turned to face the wall again, even turning her head away from Kliss’lai so she wouldn’t see her looking all like the Captain’s shirt. Why was talking to this person so difficult? Sure, it hadn’t been the first time, as she had had a plenty of awkward moments with other girls during her childhood and teenage years. But why her!? Kliss’lai: Response Renirs: Deck? Oh, uh… The, umm, same as you? Kliss’lai: Response Where was she even going to for real, and did it even matter? It didn’t. Facing Kliss’lai was awkward, but she didn’t want her to leave her yet. Renirs: Yes, that’s, uh, were I was going to as well. What a coincidence. Kliss’lai: Response Edited August 3, 2023 by Ensign Sadar 4 1 Quote
