Popular Post Renos
In closing this year’s awards ceremony we’d like to thank the people who made this possible and make one final, special presentation. Our thanks and appreciation goes out to: Awards facilitator Rear Admiral Renos, who is facilitating the awards ceremony for the second year running. The Awards Committee, comprised or Rear Admirals Renos and Toni Turner, Captain John Nugra, Commanders Blair and Whittaker, who voted on the Duty Post and Special Awards. The Auxiliary Awards committee, comprised of Alucard Vess, Saveron, Brayden Jorey, and Kelrod, who volunteered to help pull materials together to help prepare the announcements. The commanding officers of the fleet, who put in a lot of time and effort to review the nominations for their ships and ensure that the right people are selected for awards. The first officers of the fleet, for voting on the staff awards to provide recommendations to the EC about who they should choose to receive each award, for determining the recipient of general awards where their CO was nominated, and writing awards presentations where needed. All of you who submit wonderful, heartfelt nominations each year! Finally, while we're all rockin' them feels for all the awesome fun and friendship we've got going on here for a crack-a-lackin' 23 years the awards facilitator, Rear Admiral Renos, would like to give a special shout out to the community's founder Fleet Admiral Wolf. As founder he has been here longer than anyone else, invested an incalculable amount of time, effort and even his own finances to make this community thrive. We have stood the test of time and are considered one of the greatest giants in the simming community because of our professionalism, because of the level of thought and detail that's gone into every single aspect of this community. On a personal level, Jordan has been there for me many times when I needed help or support, whether it was something small like losing some login details (again), something personally significant, like coming out as Transgender, or getting to grips with a new facilitator role. He has an open door policy and has helped a great many people with a great many things. No matter how busy he is, he has always made time for the members of this fleet. I can't stress how much that means to me. On behalf of the entire community, I wish to present this small token of our appreciation to Jordan, aka Flt Admiral Wolf for all the many amazing things he has done. For being there for us all this time and being an exemplary leader. Thank you! The full awards ceremony is now available, in full, on the wiki. Again, Please join us in congratulating all the winners on their hard work this year. And many thanks to everyone who submitted the nominations that led to these presentations!

Popular Post Jordan aka FltAdmlWolf
I'm so touched by this wonderful tribute. Thank you so much for these wonderful sentiments – I honestly can't remember anything like this before, and it means so much to me to receive this recognition. Okay, so having taken a moment to savor this amazingness, I'd also like to add some further thoughts! First, going back to my introduction, I want to again thank James for all the hard work he put in. Awards Ceremony is generally one of the most grueling tasks in our entire repertoire of activities – it’s no simple feat to collate hundreds of award nominations, get them reviewed and approved, organize staff members to write a presentation for each, compile all that into templates, and prepare it for posting on the news, forums, and wiki! James has done it two years in a row and made it simple and enjoyable for everyone. We all owe him a debt of thanks for helping to facilitate this really beautiful event! From all of us... In addition, here are some other folks who deserve thanks: Our fleet's captains, who tirelessly maintain the backbone of our fleet, and help make this ceremony possible each year by encouraging everyone to nominate their fellow crew and recognize their work – among so many other things the captains do on a day-to-day basis, acting as janitors, counselors, and storytellers. The first officers, who had the unenviable task of choose the recipients of the staff awards, since it always feels a bit off for the captains of the fleet to award themselves Not only that, but they help maintain our ships, bolstering the captains and mentoring everyone else. Lately, it's felt like we've found a truly amazing crop of first officers, who are unabashed at joining in Captains Council discussion and participating fearlessly across the fleet, and it has been really great to behold. The awards committee and auxiliary committee. The former (Rear Admirals Renos and Toni Turner, Captain John Nugra, Commanders Blair and Whittaker) selected the Duty Post and Special Award winners, while the latter (Alucard Vess, Saveron, Brayden Jorey, and Kelrod) helped compile a lot of materials and assisted with other tasks around this event. With so much work to go around, it's really, really awesome to have this kind of help to make everything happen. All of you members out there. Without you, of course, we couldn't do any of this! The heart and soul you bring to your writing, the hours you spend worldbuilding for the Federation News Service, training new members in the Academy program, writing for the Community News, spreading the good word on the Publicity Committee, designing character images in the Image Collective, they do not go unnoticed and they are sincerely, deeply appreciated by me and all the members of the staff. You are the reason we do this, and we hope that we can live up to your expectations and maintain a fun game and beloved community. Thanks for everything, and here's to another year! ❤️
