Merrick R'Ven Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 So sad. I can understand CBS wanting to clear the playing field to make room for their film/show, but I liked the fan built films as well. Quote
+ Rune Jolara Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 Instead of shutting them down... especially Axanar... they should have at least offered to produce the films. Then again, they would have just screwed them all up anyhow. It sure isn't going to make their film/series any more worth watching. Quote
Jordan aka FltAdmlWolf Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 Incredibly unfortunate that Paramount isn't taking a more progressive stance with this. They're in a very unique position in that I can't remember another instance where a franchise had professionally produced fan-films that threatened that canon, but now is the time to consider the situation and -- instead of throwing lawyers at it -- figure out how you can harness all this volunteer work for the good of the franchise generally. 1 Quote
