It had started well enough, she and Nolen had woken up as a "Thing we don't talk about too much or Nolen will freak out", and the pair had christened the kneeling tub in her quarters before parting ways for the day. It just became progressively weirder as the hours ticked by. She had received a frantic call to quarters by one Petty Officer Bryant. It...had happened again. ((Brief flashback ~ Petty Officer Bryant's shared quarters)) The whimpering man in front of her had unfortunately, "assumed the position" prior to her arrival, and the minorly traumatized newly enlisted communications officer was cowering in the corner rocking slightly. Seems she would be having another conversation about privacy with the...unique patient who had refused to come to Sickbay. For...reasons. Ohnari: ::sighing heavily:: Listen Bryant, while I do appreciate you taking the note on a "flared base", I do not believe that you simply fell on the Hyperspanner. Which, last time we met, we had agreed on no tools coming back to your quarters after duty....Your shared quarters...::administering the hypo and slapping a pair of gloves on, which, mainly was unnecessary given the sterile field created by her modified field tricorder, but some things one did not want a full tactile sensation for:: Next time you are going to Sickbay. This is the last time. ((End flashback)) Nearly colliding with an unfamiliar face, Talia just blinked a few times recovering from the near collision. Forza: Oh I’m sorry Doctor, I didn’t see you there. Looking around, it was a pretty narrow hallway, and she wasn't dressed as the deck plating... Ohnari: Oh, um, no problem there ::peeping the pip:: Ensign. Forza: I very much plan on doing my medical check up Doctor, I just need to handle something real quick. Again, so sorry for running into you. It clicked, this must be Ensign Forza, she had received the academy medical transcripts as was standard with a newly arrived officer. It seemed she wouldn't need to find him to remind him about the exam. Maybe today was looking up. Ohnari: ::smiling:: Not a problem, I look forward to meeting you properly later. ((Main Sickbay, CMO's office)) The reports were stretching out in front of her. Between finalizing the attire for the upcoming nuptials, researching pre-marriage rituals for the blended cultures coming together for this wedding, she wasn't entirely sure she had enough time to breathe, let alone procure enough goat milk for some weird Bajoran "Cleansing ritual", she debated just calling it a day and going for a snack, when her comm pinged. Forza: =/\= Forza to Dr. Ohnari. =/\= Oh, it was the Ensign from earlier. Had this been the same day? Ohnari : =/\= Ohnari here, what can I do for you? =/\= oO If he says something about a hyperspanner I am resigning. Oo Forza: =/\= Is now a good time to get that exam done? =/\= Glancing around, all she technically had to do was reports...which she loathed. So it was, in fact, perfect timing. Ohnari: =/\= Yes! I will see you shortly, Ohnari Out. =/\= Closing out the report she had been staring at for forty five minutes, her comm pinged once again. Hobart: =/\= Hobart to Ohnari. =/\= A small, secretive smile graced her lips for a moment, before clearing it. They were on duty. She had promised she knew the difference. Ohnari: =/\= Ohnari here... =/\= Hobart: =/\= Ensign Frizzle is on his way, right? He didn't look too good. Crashed Connor and my little, uh, tasting? =/\= Her eyes rolled so far back she looked possessed. Nolen was the counterpart to her maid of honor duties. Although his duties seemed to involve a surprising amount of drinking.... Ohnari: =/\= Ensign Forza...and you two are drunk, aren't you? =/\= Hobart: =/\= Me? No. Synthohol. I'm fine. See you tonight. =/\= Ohnari: ::with complete seriousness =/\= I understand sir, Ohnari Out. =/\= oO 'Tis to be some hazing I see...Oo With little time to spare, Talia dashed from her office, snatched her white coat that she often forgot to wear, and yanked out her latest prototype. ((Brief Timeskip)) Waiting by the doors, Talia had to bite her cheek to prevent her face from cracking slightly. Once the Ensign arrived, she was all business. At least, externally. Ohnari: Ah yes, Ensign Forza, thank you for coming. ::gesturing behind her:: If you'll follow me. Forza: Response? She lead him to a curtained off examination area, the biobed had been modified from its usual position to a...less than savory option. Ohnari: So, as you can see, you'll need to straddle the exam table, and I sanitized the bit. Sometimes the exams get a little invasive, so feel free to bite down any time needed. ::with exaggerated flourish, she presented the large, mostly unfinished acetabular replacement joint she was working on. However, at this point it just looked like a spiked club with various wires connected along the shaft.:: Tell me Ensign, are you a bleeder? Forza: Response? Certain she would pay for this later, she could feel the uneasy nerves radiating through the poor wide eyed Ensign. This is why people hated doctors. Ohnari: Well? Afraid I'll judge your choice in skivvies? Please. I am a professional. Clearly. Forza: Response?
