Lhandon_Nilsen
Vio has been teasing Sbadni for the past few weeks and we've seen mentions of her, plus the odd sim but now, she's been fully revealed. Here is a masterclass from @Morro Caras on how to bring a character in, make them have one heck of an impact but also leave room for your fellow simmers to engage. I'm...also just a little scared of her. Quote (( Treasury counting room, Sbadni’s Main compound, Sbadni’s Treasure Moon )) An explosion, someone messing with her satellites, and an unknown ship. Weapons thieves, probably trying to get to her armory on the far part of the compound. They sure could pick a night. Sbadni looked at the grid. Her Tachyon security surveillance net. It gave her far more data than any other kind of surveillance system. Cloaking, Warp, phasing, she could see it all. It was installed anywhere where there were valuables on her treasure moon. Right now she was observing the Dance hall looking at her new visitors, trying to figure out what they were doing here this evening. Security had informed her of the explosion, and the satellite. Her head of security was on the case. She was more interested in sinking her claws into her new guests, finding out what they knew, and finding out what they wanted more than anything else. She had become fond of administering the tickle. She has spread her pheromones earlier on order to start the process, and then her betazoids would help finish it. It was time. (( Exhibition/Dance Hall, Sbadni’s Main compound, Sbadni’s Treasure Moon )) Sbadni stepped out of the treasury’s counting room. She wasn’t very pleased that someone might be trying to crash her party, except for the people she was looking forward to crashing her party. These unknown strangers that her information brokers had little to no information on. That they had dispatched from a large ship that seemingly came from nowhere. If they truly materialized from nowhere, or they were just skilled enough to confound her information brokers, either way was equally interesting; It didn’t really matter, she had to know it. Yinn: (loud, slurring) You have to dance with me! You know I love to dance in low gravity! She had seen them through the grid. But seeing them with her own eyes was different. They were mostly unassuming. Actually two of them looked drunk. A Bolian, A cardassian, and curiously enough, one of each of her kin. A Betazoid, and an Orion. She walked with purpose up to the bar and the oafish male spoke first. Caras: Uh, you might be the person I’m looking for. The Cardassian yawned, Sbadni echoed the sentiment with her eyes. Male Orions, always trying to prove something. The Cardassian drew her interest at little. They were formidable. She had faced a handful fighting the Emerald Chain. The presence of a Cardassian and an Orion as part of an unknown band attempting to infiltrate her complex pointed to the Emerald Chain. How boring. If they were just attempting to recover some of the items she had gotten off of them, or if they were just here to kill her that was SO BORING. She had to get to the bottom of this. Hopefully it wasn’t a dud. Nijal: You're probably not. This evening's been a disappointment so far. Sbadni: Are you stuck here with him? I’m not surprised This cheeky bored Cardassian. What had she seen? Was it an act? Only one way to find out. Sbadni pushed in between the Cardassian and the Orion, snatching up a bottle from the bar and bringing it into a full tilt. Caras: Ah well that isn’t very nice The Cardassian seemed to speak, as did the orion, but then the lights honed in on Sbadni. oO I asked him not to do this Oo Sbadni thought as she looked up at her master of Ceremonies on one of the upper levels. She narrowed her eyes at the Edosian. Announcer: Party people, we have the boss themselves by the dance floor! The Dread captain from cold space, the wielder of Khrysaros Blade, the bane of the emerald chain! The Usurper of the Fourteenth House of Betazed, The mistress of pleasure, the master of pain, and the best arms dealer this side of the quadrant. Sbadni! Sbadni made a light bow, and drank from her full bottle a bit cantankerously. She didn’t want to be exposed so quickly to these newcomers. She wanted to feel them out a bit more. The Betazoid woman spoke up. At least Sbadni, thought she was. The eyes weren’t right. She must have been half like herself, or perhaps less? Sbadni pushed ever so slightly with her empathic abilities to test. The Woman seemed slightly intoxicated. Could it be that she was reacting to the pheromones Sbadni was putting out? Stendhal: The Usurper of the Fourteenth House of Betazed? The Bolian and the Betazoid had come back down. Sbadni took a single step in the middle of the group and took another large swig of her bottle. Stendhal: That sounds like something! Sounds like the Betazoid was interested. She would either be a pushover, or put up a large fight. Sbadni could never tell. Giving someone with psychic abilities the tickle could make for interesting results. But if the pheromones were already affecting her, then chances are she would be easier. Nijal: I guess. Hasn't everyone who's anyone usurped a House of Betazed? Sbadni looked up overhead at the dance floor. At her two Betazoid wards in cages. They were still dancing, but they had given her no warnings. Maybe these people weren’t with the emerald chain. They clearly weren’t here to harm her, unless the Betazoid was protecting her mind, and she was going to do all the killing. Somehow Sbadni suspected that would not be the case. Sbadni: ::harsh laugh:: Well if that is the qualifier, then I’m the only person here::Turning to Zi:: i guess if that long list of titles doesn't impress you, miss? :: looking Zi over:: Then I can show you some things that certainly will. Sbadni motioned to the back area just behind the bar where people were looking at her showcases. The items she had collected over her adventures. Most of them one of a kinds, priceless treasures. If this Cardassian was so bored, Sbadni wanted to excite her. It would make the tickle more fun. The Best items hadn’t even arrived from her main storeroom yet. Yinn/Caras: Responses Sbadni sensed the emotion of the Bolian and instantly became confused. What was going on in there? Who was this person? The feelings of excitement weren’t over this party but over something else. A discovery? Sbadni couldn’t be sure. The Betazoid spoke again Stendhal: Good evening! There was no use in hiding what she was from her. She would have to rely on her Betazoid dancers for the mental part of the tickle. But Sbadni decided to force the pheromones a little as she stepped forward to greet the Betazoid. Sbadni: oOAnd a good evening to you as wellOo No verbal words were exchanged, but their looks certainly were. And a telepathic link had been started, if the betazoid wanted it. She seemed like an attractive bubbly kind of person. Cute, Fun, adorable. The kind of person that was fun to watch break. The kind of person that admitted dark things when they received the tickle. Yinn/Caras: Responses That orion male, he would be the easiest and she would start with him. Karen and Yinn approached with sips of their ales, arm in arm. Nijal: Apparently this is her. Sbadni: You heard my Master of Ceremonies. I am they, Sbadni. Or She, whatever you prefer, I am not picky. ::She turned to Caras:: Male, come here. ::pulling him in:: go speak to that other orion over there. ::holding him there:: This male orion was an easy mark for Sbadni. Poor orion males; so susceptible to the pheromones. Yinn/Caras: Response Sbadni focused on the Orion male, making sure it sank in. Until her Betazoid half knew he was enamored, and until her Orion half felt the triumph of marking him as hers. It was working. Stendhal: (quiet) And you Zi what do you think about our new friend? Sbadni was too busy focusing on Caras to care about what the others of this group were whispering about. Nijal: (also quietly) I think now's the time to make our move, while she's occupied with Caras. Nijal: (still quietly) We have to get him out of there. C'mon. Stendhal: Response Sbadni: You see that other orion over there? Her name is D’vina. Tell her you’re my little slave tonight, and that you’re to bring me my most prized blade. Sbadni let a rich smile spread across her face as the male orion was being bent to her whim. Yinn/Caras: Responses The bored cardassian seemingly came in for an approach Nijal: Impressive collection, Sbadni. But I can't help but notice that you're missing something that, well, we could maybe help you with. Sbadni liked the Cardassians smile. She was nervous about something. Well who didn’t get nervous around a former dread pirate. It was time to learn why they had come here. The most interesting question of the night. Sbadni: Missing something. You do indeed have my attention. Sbadni smiled with a sly smirk. What could they possibly think she was missing? Stendhal/Yinn/Caras: Responses With that, Sbadni heard a ping in her right ear. Sbadni: Hold that thought for just a moment. She was receiving a message in her cochlear implant. It must have been her head of security, Kellas. Why did he have to bother her now? This was just getting interesting, the strangers were just about to share some information. Sbadni: =/\=(quietly) What, i’m busy.=/\= Kellas: =/\=The situation with the intruders has escalated. They fired upon us with a sh….=/\= Sbadni: =/\= (not as quietly) Kellas, you’ve destroyed Regulators before. You have regulator weapons. Surely you can handle this. Do what you need to do. Use the cannon if you need to. Don’t contact me until you’ve handled it. =/\= Kellas: =/\= Boss I… =/\= She terminated the connection Usually she wasn’t so harsh with Kellas. He had always served her well in the past But recently had been getting on her nerves. He kept bringing up scientific theories about creatures outside time and space and had been using her resources to start creating experimental weapons. None of which had borne any fruit, or had made her life any more interesting. If he couldn’t handle a bunch of aspiring weapons thieves, then maybe it was time for him to retire. Sbadni finally turned back to Nijal. Sbadni: You were saying? Something for my collection? Nijal/Stendhal: Responses Sbadni: I’m intrigued. ::rounding on Caras::Male, what did I say? Go fetch the sword. The oafish orion finally obeyed, as he split off with the “drunk” Bolian. Sbadni eagerly awaited that one to come back. There was something strange about her mind, and Sbadni wanted to know what it was. The two took off in the direction of D’vina and the Khrysaros Blade, one of Sbadni’s most prized possessions. One of her ultimate bragging rights. Yinn/Caras: Responses Sbadni turned back to the Cardassian and the Betazoid. She hadn’t learned their names yet. Now it was time to find out if they were worth learning. Sbadni: I have plenty of old junk from that era. What makes your so different from the junk I already have. And more importantly. You wouldn’t come here with an offer unless there was something of mine you wanted? So what is it?
