  1. It looks great. You always need a back up way to move around if power is down or fire. Stairs are logical.it's another route to take.:)

This is well done. The landing bay is huge and I've a feeling its even bigger. I bet the Enterprise has to be at least the size of an air craft carrier.

I noticed that was the landing bay 2 lounge. On a ship this large with 100+beings aboard, you'll need a few places for them to relax.

He even showed the small toilet on the bridge. LOL.

See? They DO use the facilities.;-)

  2. It is. :) Rhihannsu is based off old high Vulcan and other tribal dialects from the assembled people's on the ships. They added more vowels. Modern Vulcan is based off Golic dialect. Which is more clipped. Federation peoples probably heat this one the most because the Vulcans that entered Starfleet were from Gol. Dark hair, pale complexion Saverhon excluded becuase he is Neogathic.

Like Klingon, You can actually learn Vulcan to read and write in three dialects. A standard script and calligraphic script and Rhihannsu thanks to some fans that extracted parts from books over the past three to four decades.

  3. Old high Vulcan and mixes from other clans dialects created Rhihannsu. Its very smooth sounding.. modern Vulcan is lyrical in its own way but when it's clipped, it can be jarring.

Well it is to my character. She thinks they tore up a beautiful language.; )

I'd learn many of those languages just to avoid having to rely on the translator earwig in my ear all the time

  4. Good article. It brings up interesting and things to debate.

I wonder why does it matter how installations are run on Terran, Lunan or Martian soil. Aren't these facilities supported by the taxes of the worlds they reside on? If so,they should not sure be considered autonomous. If Earth, Luna and Mars entered into a unitied pact concerning how their penal facilities are run, then they must decide their fates not the Federation. Federation prisons are not Rua Penthe and most likely shall never be

Also any citizen that breaks a law should have to deal with the consequences. A foreigner on Andor for instance that violates a law that puts him/her into prison, has to abide by that culture's rules.

  5. Two people actually. Odo and Tuvok.

Tuvok because of his training in martial arts since childhood, strength and speed He's hard to anger so few people could "push his buttons ".

Odo -shape shifting abilities. He could literally disguise himself as anyone or anything for protection even in the restroom.

Tuvok probably wouldn't walk into the ladies bathroom, Odo as a bracelet could.

  6. Vulcans Can go off in a rage without being a hybrid. They Have to contain the temper that could go homicidal.

In every series, the actors did amazing jobs. From major characters like Spock,T'Pol amd Tuvok,

to reoccurring ones like Sarek, Soval,Vorik,Vulcan High Command in Enterprise, T'Pol's mother and others. The term "too emotional " used by us humans is odd for when the Vulcans were themselves, other Vulcansdidn't react to it. These different slices of their culture and personalities paints a mosaic of people as unique and individual as we are.

O can not say who was best At it. Only that each person brought something new to the cultural table. I am not sure how well I could pull off a Vulcan like persona.

  7. Leave Paramount out of it. They mess up every time _Let the fans in concert with Star Trek actors that are interested create movies and series. Is and some of the hard core Trek Actors really know their characters and the series'.

  8. Sisko. He logically who was married and had a child. Later a widowed single parent raising said son. Even more amazing, it was far from home. Sisko overcame prejudices, and taught his son the same, even if later Dad needed to be reminded. Sisko learned to accept and later understand Nog. Maybe even care about the Farengi as family.

  9. I have liked the Diana Duane novels on the Romulans, and Vulcans' cultures. A recent triology called Vulcan Soul. Hey have a look backwards into the two cultures mutual history and tje start Of their exodus from Vulcan. , Also A.C.Crispin novels that featured Spock, and Sarek. Very well done and a look into the enigma that are Romulans and Vulcans

  10. Each person had their own take on Vulcan character showing the uniqueness of each individual Vulcan. It showed the diversity Of the people, the culture and how each reacted to things.

I liked each in their own way and actors not mentioned. Marc Leonard wae ALWAYS my favorite for a full blooded male Vulcan, then Tuvok, and Vorik.

Leonard Nimoy made a unique person straddling two cultures that were so very different yet alike. (If that makes sense. )
