+ Talia Ohnari Posted July 29 Posted July 29 Relationship goals? Obviously. ((Deck 13, Captain’s Quarters, USS Khitomer)) Ash's universe had become quite small. The entirety of the room dissolved into the darkness she'd created for herself in his embrace, allowing her a moment of reprieve from the overwhelm of all of it. While she couldn't exactly point out what was wrong with it all other than the fact that it was different, she could find her way to her safe place. Shayne: I am become plush, destroyer of sensory overload. Even with everything rushing through her mind, Ash couldn't help but smile. This was the captain of the Khitomer; strong and steadfast, but also soft and gentle. That, perhaps, was the greatest strength there could be, at least for her. Nuzzling deeper if it were possible, she mumbled something hushing. MacKenna: Shhh. No noise. Feeling the rise and fall of his chest she found herself falling into sync with the rhythm. Slowly she could feel her heart rate calming and her mind quieting ever so slightly. Shayne: Right, right. Pillows don’t speak. She felt an arm wrap around her drawing her in closer and in that she relaxed further. As if wrapped in a blanket she let her senses be submerged in the feel of his warmth, the sound of his heart, and his scent. Coupled with the feel of Anubis' fur and the cologne spritz the groomer had given him, she drowned the negative sensory inputs. And for a long moment, perhaps longer than would have otherwise been acceptable, they stood there. Ash whispered into his shoulder. MacKenna: I love you. His voice met her ears, a slight husky inflection but every bit as melodious as she'd come to love. Shayne: Captain’s Log, stardate… oblivion. It’s been twelve days since I was captured by an insatiable red-headed force of nature who appears to want me for my oxytocin producing capacities. Escape so far is impossible, not to mention the furthest thing on my mind. Still… food. I’ll need some eventually. Unfortunately, the only provisions to hand are some torn up scraps of carpet, and they’re not even seasoned… At which she couldn't help but giggle, turning her head so that she could look up at him while keeping her head on his shoulder. MacKenna: I guess you'll just have to take me with you, cause I'm not letting you go. With her focus on him, Ash slowly started putting herself back together, each piece interwoven with him. And in that, they became more than they were. ~ End Scene~ 3 Quote
