An intriguing entry in the start of the Artemis' Blockbuster from our XO - @Talos Dakora - and the kind of Sim that has made the Borg Cube-infiltrators feel lucky about their assignment 😝 Win-Win Situation! Quote ((Secondary Sensor Control Room - Sensor Pod - USS Artemis)) ==== RECORDING START ==== The tiny visual sensor embedded in the life-support/ambient temperature control module began recording as soon as the Wildfire Protocol had been initiated. With its high-angle, fisheye view the entire Secondary Sensor Control Room was visible to its tiny little visual receptor. A pair of gold-uniformed Starfleet Personnel sat at the long consoles that dominated the space, each of them focused on the readouts playing across the screens and occasionally tapping a command here or there to optimize this or regulate that. When the Entry door chimed, the pair exchanged bemused looks, before one rose to answer the door. The sensor utilized a combination of gait and facial recognition algorithms to identify PO3 Domingo Martinez as he buzzed the visitor in. Still seated at the console, his counterpart Crewman Toro Nubar rotated in his chair to see who had arrived. As the door slid aside a third person stepped into the room. Martinez: Ensign Li, what’re you doing here? I thought you were on family leave. Non-plussed Li, continues into the room, letting the door swish shut behind him. Li: I was unable to take leave after all. ::He shrugged.:: Too much work to do. Martinez makes an expression that the algorithm recognizes as confusion for a moment, but it quickly fades. Martinez: Too busy to let you go to your brother’s funeral? ::He shook his head.:: The brass are losing it. Have you seen all this Wildfire Protocol stuff? I was just telling Toro over there that this is the kinda thing that happens when you make a creepy Intel guy into a First Officer… The algorithm does not register a change in Li’s expression in response to Martinez’s provocative tirade. Li: Right. It’s out of hand. ::He points to Martinez:: Anyway, I’ve been sent to relieve you and take over as Toro’s new Paired Duty… whatever. The algorithm recognizes the expression on PO3 Martinez’s face as excitement(55%) and approval (45%). Martinez: Nice. You don’t have to tell me twice. ::He calls back to the man at the console.:: See you later Toro! At this point in the recording Martinez exits the control room and Ensign Marcus Li and Crewman Toro Nubar, remain. For an extended period, Ensign Li seemed to stand behind Crewman Nubar, almost as if he was uncertain what to do next. Afterward, an expression recognized by the algorithm as determination appears on Li’s face. He approaches the secure interior access door to the sensitive sensor suite equipment and calls out to Crewman Nubar. Li: Hey Toro! Can you give me a hand with this? Ensign Li produces an unknown object from a shoulder bag as Crewman Toro approaches to assist. Together the pair authorize themselves and enter the secure space which is out of sensor range for INTERNAL SECURITY SENSOR 031 Gyroscopic sensors register an explosive/concussive event approximately 3 minutes later and the door opens once again. Crewman Toro Nubar, seemingly no worse for wear, steps out into the Control Room, pausing for a moment to adjust the collar of his uniform. IDENTIFICATION ERROR: LOG ATTACHED. ======= # INTERNAL SECURITY SENSOR 031: #Subject_03 - Sec_Sens_Control #GAIT RECOGNITION: Unknown #FACE RECOGNITION: Crewman Toro Nubar #GATE/FACE MISMATCH *FLAGGED FOR REVIEW ======= END LOG ==== RECORDING CONTINUES ==== Crewman Nubar crosses the room, his expression recognized by the algorithm as neutral, as he opens the exterior door and leaves the control room. No other people are seen until damage control teams arrive. ==== RECORDING END ==== INTERNAL SECURITY SENSOR 031 Secondary Sensor Control Room USS Artemis-A 5 1 Quote
