StarBase 118 Staff Posted March 6, 2021 Posted March 6, 2021 The Captains Council (“CC”) is one of two administrative bodies for our community, and is tasked with managing promotions to the rank of Commander, as well as a host of administrative issues regarding the universe in which we play. Each year, the CC elects a Magistrate, whose job it is to facilitate ongoing discussions, tally and record votes, and act as the official messenger for the council to the Executive Council and the fleet at large. This role plays an important part of keeping Captains Council business on track, and those who hold the role are often top candidates for higher office with the Executive Council. For 2021, the council has selected Commander Sky Blake, Executive Officer of the USS Veritas, as its Magistrate. Congratulations to her for this recognition! Blake’s writer, Deliera, has been a member from Starbase 118 since 2011, and is also the writer behind Tristam Core and other characters. Other than simming, she has been a driving force behind keeping SB118’s wiki current and up to date and has served on no less than eighteen vessels. Highly decorated, Deliera has been awarded with recognitions such as the Neelix Award, the Sheathed Sword, the Russ Bar, TOSMA, the Q award, The Laudean Commendation, the Nebula Bar, the Silver Palm, and in 2020 the Sarpeidon Award.
