StarBase 118 Staff Posted February 6, 2021 Posted February 6, 2021 Every month, the Academy staff works to compile the statistics about our recruiting and training for the fleet’s informational purposes. Let’s take a look at how we did as a fleet across November and December 2020. This first graph depicts the number of applications that the fleet has received each month this year. In November, we saw 12 new applications which is a nice bump from last month! In December we saw four new applications which is significantly lower than what we saw in November. The following chart shows how our new members found us, according to their application. A varied list of sources for November, but as always Google is our leader: For December we saw Google in the lead once again: This final graph shows how many people graduated from the Academy during the month of November. The fleet saw three new graduates during the month, which is slightly less than we saw in October. Five applicants started training in November but won’t be counted until December’s tally if they graduate. The fleet saw eight new graduates during December, which is three more than we saw in November, despite having received only 4 applications over the month. This is partially accounted for by the fact that two applicants who applied at the end of November did not finish training until after the beginning of December. These new recruits are the lifeblood of our community. Without them, it becomes difficult to keep our ships fully crewed and even more difficult to grow the fleet.
