+ Cecil Valo Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Did anyone ever play Birth of the Federation? It was a turn based strategy game, much like Civilization. You could play as the Federation, Klingons, Romulans, Cardassians, or Ferengi (I think). You could colonize worlds, conquer them, handle diplomacy, set up trade routes, and of course build fleets of awesome Star Trek ships This was a great classic and still fun to this day. Not to mention it has multiplayer 1 Quote
+ Salkath Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 I played the living heck out of this game back in the day! Loved it so much. Somewhere along the way I lost it, or else I'd probably still be playing it. Thanks for bringing up a great memory! 2 Quote
Daniel Cain Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Oh hell yeah ace game. Some kick starter group I think was trying to revive it with updated stuff like ships and the Dominion. No idea what happened to it. Should be on steam! 1 Quote
Rahman and Rivi Vataix Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Always thought that game had the perfect characterization of Romulans for their intro: 1 Quote

Daniel Cain Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 I have to admit, I always played as Romulans. Quote
+ Cecil Valo Posted June 4, 2015 Author Posted June 4, 2015 The Ferengi ended up being who I played the most. Great economy. Who would have guessed? Quote
Lt.JG. Adam Haase Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 Oh my goodness, yes! I loved playing Birth of the Federation. The fight scenes could have been better, but for the time I assume that they were good graphics. It was hard, but I even got it to run on Windows 8! Ah, those were the good times --- before my hard drive failed. xD 1 Quote
