  1. NCC-1701, no A, B, C, D or E.

Oh, and the Soyuz class USS Bozeman hitting the Enterprise-D mentioned earlier is the Episode "Cause and Effect". Captain Bateson (?) of the Bozeman is played by the same person who played Fraiser in the series of the same name and Cheers.

  2. "Home" last night...

Not as good as Stormfront, not keen on the opening speech amongst other scenes. Liked the Columbia bit and the ending was good though. Left the ending open (Did he intervene, or not? Did she break off the wedding mid-ceremony?), whilst showing T'Pol and Trip do realise thier feelings...

  3. We got Stormfront Part 2 last night...

Good way of wrapping it up I feel. Good start to the season, might actually be better than the poor 3 before it...

I'm actually looking forward to the next episode (never done that with Enterprise before...)

Liked the Russia reference in explaining the changes, I'm actually studying Lenin, Stalin and the Bolsheviks for my Modern History AS at the moment...

  4. I think you'misinformed there...

The Founding Members are Earth, Vulcan, Andor, and Tellar Prime, though some sources also cite a fifth as Alpha Centauri. This is canon, not speculative. Denobula eventually became part of the Federation, as did the Lunar Colonies, Mars, and the other myriad members we know from TOS-VOY. The anti-Romulan Alliance that we see at the end of "Babel-One" and into "United" is the core of the Federation.

Sorry to stray from the topic, but wrong statements need to be corrected.

I was mentioning the species who could be Federation members who actually get seen semi-regularly..

Name me 2 episodes before Season 4 with Tellerites in them? Then compare to the amount of appearences the Suliban and Xindi get despite not being important enough to even be mentioned in future series.

And what about members who join soon after the founding?

I should point out, I have already said I haven't seen Season 4 yet (including the episodes mentioned above) due to the fact they haven't started airing here in the UK yet. I don't read the spoilers either, so references to an Anti-Romulan Alliance mean little to me.

  5. I find the argument that "We don't see them in later series..." weak and, frankly, a cop-out. Come on... what would a sereis be like if all you could see were planets and species that you already knew about? You have to give them a little leeway to make up new stuff or they are stuck in a rut.

Yes, but what about all 150 members of the yet to be founded Federation. I can't believe that Earth, Andor, Denobula and Vulcan are the only founding members

  6. Being in the UK, Season 4 hasn't started airing over here yet. However, my view of Seasons 1-3 is that they undermined everying that had been established by the other 4 series before it, such as First contact with the Klingons (Chronology gives it as 2210?), Suliban and Xindi (If they are that important, howcome we never see them in any of the other series?), the ship itself (uh, Akira?), to name but a few...

Unless season 4 is a drastic improvement, I think I'll be glad to see the back of Enterprise.

  7. I'd vote for Star Trek: The Motionless Picture but without that none of the resultant Spin-offs (Including Voyager and DS9?!) would have happened as there may not have been seen to be a demand...

Therefore I vote for the film with a 98 deck Turboshaft on a 24 deck ship... (How wierd can it get?)...

Star Trek V: The Final Frontier gets my vote... It's 20th.

  8. Honestly, I was glad to see 1701-D go..always hated that bubbly, pregnant-looking design. The Sovereign-class is sooooo much more stylish. :)

    Have to agree...

A 42 deck Brick or a 24 Deck sleek, Fast LOOKING beauty? Sovereign my favourite every time... Although I know the interior of the Galaxy Class better (Of course...)

  9. There's a lot of gaps between Enterprises that still need to be filled..

NCC-1701-D's history is the clearest. She was lost over Viridian III. Although there's no exact timeline, one could guess she was about 8-10 years old

    Commissioned: October 2363 (4th?)

At: Utopia Planitia Fleet Yards, Mars

    Destroyed: 2371

Cause of destructin: Warp Core Implosion after Breach caused by Klingon Bird of Prey
