The audacity of pastor Louie Giglio is breathtaking. In a blog post to supporters, he says [the Gay] "agenda" is what got him uninvited to the Obama inauguration. Meanwhile, he doesn't recant his former stance and doesn't apologize for it. Some people believe, like this man and Rick Warren, believe their charitable works buy them the ability to discriminate with impunity. That logic is false.

The GOP can't find the money to help pay for free clinics for women, or continue paying for Medicare, but somehow they can find the money to pay high-priced lawyers to defend an unconstitutional law barring Gays and Lesbians from getting married. Does ANYONE ELSE think that this is just ANOTHER example of how Republicans lie about their priorities, and mislead people about the state of the country?

The thing I hate the most is when people on Goodreads start their review with an "ACTUAL rating" which includes a decimal point. Because there's just too much daylight between 2 and 3 stars -- 2 is just harsh, but this book just hasn't EARNED a 3. It's a 2.5, YUNNO?

The US Solicitor General's argument before the court today show exactly the problem with the "state's rights" arguments, and the justices saw right through it. The US basically argued "All the states that have civil unions have to instead have marriage, but everyone else can do what they want." That's ridiculous.
