StarBase 118 Staff Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 As we come to terms with the loss of a member of one more of the Star Trek original series greats, Leonard Nimoy, this week’s Poll of the Week will focus on a few of the more memorable scenes of that of the man who portrayed Mr. Spock in Star Trek throughout the last 49 years. This is by no means a complete list, and as always, don’t be afraid to add to the list.It is hard to imagine that such an iconic character was almost scrapped after the original pilot aired, for being too demonic looking. But his character was kept, albeit changed somewhat from the original portrayal, and as such, became one of the most famous characters in science fiction lore. No matter how far the actor, Leonard Nimoy, tried to separate himself from the character he created on the small screen and later on the big screen, he found himself drawn back into that character, and embraced him as the years progressed. And right to the end, with his last tweet spelling the acronym LLAP or better known as “Live Long and Prosper”.And so, as a memorial to the passing of a Star Trek legend, this Poll of the Week will look at some of the most memorable scenes from Star Trek which featured Leonard Nimoy’s Mr. Spock. Head on to the polls and choose your favorite. If not there, please feel free to add to the list. The post Poll of the Week: Goodbye appeared first on UFOP: StarBase 118 Star Trek RPG.
