  1. ::R’raika took Core’s momentary distraction as a chance to steal one of his battered bits of fish, dipped in that peculiar sauce and took a taste… it was a thousand little stars exploding in her mouth- it was almost worth stealing another piece- but she held herself back. ::

As I was reading it, I was chatting to Rich about Ketanya's image...

    Deliera:

VOSS TOTALLY STOLE SOME OF TRISTAM'S SHARK

    WTF

VOSS STOLE SOME OF TRISTAM'S SHARK

    Rich:

    You know

this isn't really the kind of feedback I was hoping for...

    Deliera:

    VOSS STILL STOLE TRISTAM'S SHARK
    AND IT LOOKS GREAT
TOTALLY CAN'T TELL IT'S JEN GARNER

BUT VOSS STILL STOLE SHARK AND TARTARE

  2. Pok: Hello? Is someone still here?

::The poor Ferengi never saw her. There, standing behind him, was a blonde woman, green eyes striking - even in the dark of the Sick Bay - clad in a Starfleet uniform and a long field jacket, a little dirty down near her feet, as if she’d been walking in a desert of some kind. She didn’t hesitate in her strike. With trained skill, the woman hooked her hands on the short Ferengi’s head, twisting quickly.::

::The doctor's body slumped to the deck with a thud, the bio samples scattering in a mess over him. She calmly stepped over the corpse and took a glance around the empty med bay once more, tapping her combadge.::

    Blake: =/\= Decks 2 through 6 secure, Captain. =/\=

So . . . this little not-so-happy gem marks the classic horror movie death in Meanwhile, on the Mercury part 6 . . . I thought it was a pretty neat collaboration. :whistling:

  3. Just this entire section with everybody's reactions . . .

From PNPC T'Leia's "No Bricks Without Clay":

BAKARI: ::He cleared his throat,:: *Not* a good time, T!
::Core sighed and crossed his arms. T'Leia shifted, stepping to the side of the door, so that she could not see inside, and let her eyes settle on Commander Bakari.::
CORE: Really? *Really*? We are in the middle of a *crisis*, and you're here, *assisting the nurse*.
BAKARI: What I do in my off time -- and hers -- is none of your business.
::Perfectly reasonable. Though apparently not so for Core.::
CORE: What is even *with* you and nurses!? The teal ends up on the floor *anyway*!
::She glanced at Core, her voice flat and stern.::
    T'LEIA: That was unnecessary, Commander.
::Bakari may have thought so too, given the annoyed look he sent in Core's direction as he leaned his hand against the doorway.::
BAKARI: Is there something you need or not?
CORE: Get dressed. We've got work to do. And then I'm calling Ayelet.
::She briefly wondered who Ayelet was, as Bakari directed his gaze at her.::
BAKARI: Have you figured out how much of a pain in the [...] he is by now?
    ::Yes.::
T'LEIA: ::Smoothly,:: I cannot report any discomfort in that particular part of my anatomy.

  4. Vaala: Oh, that's peachy-keen. I'm Vaala. Ensign Vaala. ::she started to speak very quickly:: I have a lot of other weird Klingon names but I don't like discussing them because they're really long and pretentious plus I think they kind of intimidate people I mean really who spends like ten minutes introducing themselves that's just kind of annoying plus the wording in some of the titles is quite strong and that can freak people out like a bug in their sleeping bag although it's perfectly normal for Klingons to have names and titles that are super violent because of our cultural history of violence and propensity to engage in wanton acts of destruction you see that's why I didn't fit in because I really am not like that at all in fact I've never done anything violent to anyone my parents once forced me to fight any creature I wanted to and I picked a tribble because I thought it was the easiest thing in the world but it turns out I am deathly allergic to them and I went into acute anaphylactic shock and nearly died.

Before I read this sentence properly, I was quite honestly looking for the full stop . . . and then realized there wasn't one . . .

And then me in my silliness decided to attempt to say the entire thing without stopping . . . I failed miserably. Vaala must have a serious pair of lungs.

  5. Ross: Captain. ::He looked toward Quinn.:: I need a word. Join me in the shuttle?

::Reynolds gave Ross somewhat of an odd look before nodding and closing her tricorder. Tristam narrowed his eyes as he watched them head back towards the shuttle. There was a slight pause before he broke the silence.::

Core: Not to sound as if I'm being disrespectful towards a higher-ranking officer, but does anyone else think that they're heading back to the shuttle for some "personal debriefing" or something?

In response to above from the Tans:

    Alleran: ~~ Okay, I don't like him. ~~
    Marlee: ~~ I don't like him either. ~~
:: They agreed. They actually agreed on something. Would wonders never cease? ::

It is quite literally the first time they've agreed on something. XD

  6. Voss: One of your officers might have been compromised- (her voice was neutral) at any time- shore leave, a casual encounter after a night of drinking. Are any of your engineers particularly socially weak or lonely?
::Roshanara did her best to suppress the goofy Rodulan face that was popping into her head just then.::

    My work is done. B)

  7. I heard about Captain Worf, but who's Captain Word? :P Nah, I'm just kidding.

Every time I read something about the ST: Captain Worf possibility, it was always shut down for some reason or another. JJ Abrams turned around and said that there was no talks at all about another Star Trek TV show because CBS supposedly wasn't interested (http://screenrant.com/jj-abrams-interview-almost-human-star-trek-cbs/2/ ).

However, (and it's obvious that I kind of love screenrant), this article gave me a bit of hope: http://screenrant.com/star-trek-captain-worf-tv-show-michael-dorn/

It should be noted that both these articles are about one or two months before the one you posted (I think), though, so stuff might have changed. ::shurg::

    If ST: Captain Worf does happen, (and I'm going to be picky here), I hope that they;

    a. Rename it. Every Star Trek show wasn't normally (I'm looking at you, TOS) focused on specific characters, so as much as I like Worf, and as much as I recognise that at this stage, he may be the only familiar face we'll see on the show, they should stick to the "show named after the ship" convention that TOS,TAS & TNG understandably ignored. This is why we didn't have Star Trek: Captain Janeway or Star Trek: Captain Archer. Plus, it kind of messes with the three lettered abreviations - TOS, TAS, TNG, DS9, VOY, ENT . . . CW? . . . CaW? . . . CWo- okay, enough now. Oh Oh! May it would be STW (Star Trek Worf?)?

    b. GET A FEMALE SECURITY OFFICER. After Tasha Yar was killed off/left TNG, it always bugged me that there was rarely any major females taking charge in Security and Tactical. The only person that ever came close to this was Major Kira on DS9, but she wasn't actually a member of Starfleet. So come on, guys, share the CoS/CTO position for a change!

    c. Meet up with someone familiar. Captain Riker and (I'm not sure of her rank at the moment..) Troi at least. If they want to throw Picard or Sisko in there, go for it, because I believe that in order to kick this off the ground properly, they have to establish what timeline it's in, separate it from the reboots, just . . . anything to kick it away from JJ Abrams (and I seriously hope they don't plan on sticking it in the Abrams universe). What would be equally satisfying is that they launch from Deep Space 9, that way we get to see Quark again, and Quark gets to set foot on five different Star Trek shows/movies (Next Gen, DS9, Voyager & deleted/cut scenes of Star Trek Insurrection). Heck! Maybe Worf could meet up with Dax.

So there. Those are . . . basically my demands . . . B) Agree, disagree, do whatever. There they are. :shaun:

  8. Sky SHOULD remember...she started it........

Well . . . really . . . I think that fight was started as part of the send-off for the Ronin . . . actually I don't really remember the details of what happened behind the scenes there, but still. It was a good bar fight. cool.png

  9. ::With that, Isaac tipped back the flask and took a long draw. The second swallow was half way down his throat before he felt the burn. Isaac lowered the flask and tightened his lips to avoid sputtering all over himself, which quite effectively cleared his sinus cavity as his coughs escaped through his nose. When he could breath again, he looked at Walker grinning across from him.::
Bale: I take it back. ::handing back the flask:: I've tried to catch up on the reports since rejoining the Mercury. I read one in particular that mentioned
quite a bit of damage to Quark's on Deep Space 9, and more than a few ruffled feathers with DS9 security. I believe you and Lt. Reed were both there.

I remember that! Reed, Walker and Deven Zell were at the bar when a fight broke out. I think Reed collapsed afterwards and ended up in Lt. Ba'Eli's care. I don't really remember if Walker was in the fighting or not, though. But I do remember that the two were drunk after Reed suggested . . .

Bale: Chief, have you ever heard of a drink called 'The Widowmaker'?

    I rest my case. whistling.gif

  10. Honestly? I'm going to be annoying. I'd advance technology - the IPad/Acer Touch/Tablets/etc have out-done the PADD, but considering that these things were barely, *barely* out there at the times of productions, it's understandable. But still; the PADD needs to be updated. As does the basic console . . . Don't get me wrong, I like the consoles as they are, but after getting addicted to Iron Man and the Avengers, I know that CGI these does wonders and we really aren't that far from having "pure-touch" technology without the consoles in many different workplaces, if not homes - hopefully, in a few years, at least twenty, from now . . . shifty.gif

Cast? Oh jeez . . . Well, you have to have at least one of the characters in the five series to make a appearance. I'm sorry, but Star Trek wouldn't be the same without the occasional reference to one of the five Captains of the series. Whether they be an occasional guest star, appearing only once in the series, or being a Guinan type character, I think someone from past series needs to definitely be involved - but for gods sakes, not Tuvok.

That, and they definitely need a female Chief of Security. I think I can only remember Tasha Yar being Chief of Security on the Enterprise-D, but I don't remember any other woman taking the job on any ship before or after her, which is a real shame for me.

All in all, it's really the tech that needs a bit of updating - the cast I'm not particularly fussed about. If they do end up bringing out another series, then I'm all for it regardless. I won't be if it's corny and the actors are . . . not the best at acting, though . . .

  11. (( Space battle ))

:: With the two marines, Valentino and Hunt, flying in sync, the Klingons couldn't keep up with their movement. With Angelo using his guile and experience and Mike Hunt using his exceptional piloting and sharpshooting skills, it already led to the destruction of a B'Rel cruiser and a K'Peck corvette. Commander Vess chimed in. ::

Vess: ::Smiling.:: =/\= If yeh two keep flyin' like that, we'll be all out o' targets before long.=/\=

Valentino: =/\= Just get that Klingon ship off our tails and we'll do the rest. =/\=

Vess: =/\= We're on it. Vess out.=/\= ::To everyone on the Bridge.:: Yeh heard him. Let's take care o' tail.

:: The Rodimus Prime aptly drew the Klingon's attention and fire away from Valentino and Hunt. ::

Valentino: =/\= Ok Mikey, let's do this. Follow my lead to the next on. Evasive pattern Beta 2. =/\=

Hunt: =/\= On your mark Tino man. =/\=

:: The two ships were flying is extremely close sync, evading Klingon fire. The approached another Klingon K'Peck corvetter. They split the Klingon's attention and viciously destroyed the Klingon ship with impressively accurate firing. ::

Valentino: =/\= Let's send these Klingon's running back home! =/\=

    Hunt: Yeeeeeee Hawwwwww!

:: Angelo checked his console and saw another B'Rel class ship. Angelo led the line, with Hunt following closely. Impressive flying by the marine pair. ::

Valentino: =/\= Approach the stern of the ship on the starboard side. =/\=

Hunt: =/\= Why the rear man? =/\= oO What is he thinking Oo

Valentino: =/\= Because the weapons on that side are damaged. Fire everything you have at that side. I'll draw their attention from the front. =/\=

Hunt: =/\= I'll tear it up like a tin can! =/\=

:: With the Klingon ship firing at Valentino, who approached from the bow side, he kept the damage to his fighter to a minimum by using sharp evasive techniques. With Hunt rapidly firing at the damaged vessel, it's shield on that side was destroyed also.

A couple of fighters would have no chance against a B'Rel class ship, but luckily, this one was very damaged. ::

Valentino: =/\= Nice shooting Hunt! =/\=

:: Valentino performed an impressive manoeuvre taking his ship sharply under the Klingon ship, continuing to fire at its underbelly and positioning himself next to Hunt. ::

Valentino: =/\= Fire at will mate! =/\=

Hunt: oO Just like when I was a kid on the Hun tOo =/\= I'll give em everything but the sink =/\=

:: The two small ships continued firing until the rear end of the Klingon ship exploded and broke off.So far, the two marines had led to the destruction of a K'Pek corvette, and 2 B'Rel cruisers. ::

Valentino and Hunt: =/\= Goodness, gracious, great balls of fire! Oo (OOC: Just like Maverick and Goose say! Lol)

Hunt: =/\= So where you born this good or did you need to practice? =/\=

Valentino: =/\= Hahaha, thanks buddy! You know I was born this good! But seriously, couldn't do this without you, you're making me look good mate! =/\=

:: Valentino noted what looked like a heavily armed B'Rel class bird of prey. It was firing heavily on Federation ships and taking little damage. ::

Valentino: oO OK, let'd do something no one ever has. Oo =/\= Hunt, make your way to that B'Rel class bird of prey, the R'Ver. Make your approach erratic and from the port/bow side. Be careful and don't get hit! =/\=

:: Angelo has thought about the construction of the R'Ver. The necelle type features at the back of the ship didn't have much rotational weaponery and the shields were weakest there. Cue Valentino's imaginative ideas! As Hunt's ship approach the front of the B'Rel. ::

Valentino: =/\= Valentino to Rodimus Prime =/\=

Vess: ::Alucard tapped his console.:: =/\= Rodimus here, what do you need, Valentino? =/\=

Valentino: =/\= Commander, I need your firepower!

Vess: =/\= We have that in spades. What do yeh need? =/\=

Valentino: =/\= I need Lt. Sharpe to focus all his fire at the R'Ver. I have an idea. =/\=

:: The Commander patched Sharpe, who was working tactical. The comm system was open and Hunt was able to listen and pitch in. ::

Valentino: =/\= Lt Sharpe, approach the R'Ver from the stern side and focus all fired at the rear end of the ship. =/\=

Sharpe: =/\= Targeting required location, that's the weakest area if I am not mistaken =/\=

Valentino: =/\= Yes Lt. The shield is weakest there at the moment. I am approaching the R'ver from underneath. =/\=

    Vess: =/\= What's yer plan, Captain? =/\=

Valentino: =/\= My Plan? I'm going to rely on Lt. Sharpe's sharpshooting skills and disable the shield to the back/bottom of the R'vek.

Hunt: =/\= That all sounds good Tino, but then What? Why the bottom of the ship? =/\=

    Vess: =/\= Antimatter. =/\=

Valentino: =/\= Exactly sir, you took the words from my mouth, that's where the antimatter and impulse engines are stored. A recipe for a BIG explosion! =/\=

Hunt: =/\= But you don't have enough firepower to affect that area, even with the shields down. If you remain there to fire, the R'vek will just destroy you. =/\=

Valentino: =/\= Well...I'm going to slam my fighter into the underside and back of the R'ver. =/\=

Hunt: =/\= TINO! MAN THAT'S CRAZY. Commmander Vess? Tell him he's crazy! He has a death wish! Stop being a hero, Tino =/\=

Vess: =/\= He's right. Are yeh tryin' t' get killed?! =/\=

Valentino: =/\= Well, that's where I'm going to place my life in your hands Commander. =/\=

    Vess: =/\= How so? =/\=

Valentino: =/\= Just before I make it slams into the R'Ver, you'll have to beam me out. =/\=

Hunt: =/\= See you soon Tino...I hope it not on the otherside. Hunt out. =/\=

:: With Hunt firing at the R'Ver from the bow and the Rodimus Prime from the stern, Angelo's ship was left unoticed. ::

Valentino: ::To himself:: You always have to be the hero! I better not die!

:: There remained a couple of K'Peck corvettes and a single B'Rel crusier. The B'Rel class ship waas soon to be no more.

Valentino timed his approach and concentrated on the console and the status of the R'Ver's shields. 75%....51%...35%...12%...0%. Lt. Sharpe screamed through the comm system to inform the whole fleet, it seemed, that the sheilds were down! Hunt's fighter pulled away and sped as far as possible. The Rodimus prime also turned. ::

Sharpe: =/\= You okay out there? =/\= ::Sharpe asked.::

Valentino: =/\= Thanks Sharpe! Nice shooting! I feel the need...the need for speed! =/\= (OOC: Another Top Gun tribute)

:: Valentino increased speed to maximum and targetted the underside of the B'Rel class ship.

The computer voiced the decreasing distance: 200km....150km....80km....10km....2km...

Valentino's fighter slammed at maximum speed into the underside of the B'Rel ship. The explosion was immense. ::
