Why did you apply to join our community?

I didn’t realize there were already so many Trill in the community. In previous groups no one played them at all! I was going for Joined. Great RP opportunities when drawing on those previous memories.

And thanks for the warm welcome everyone!

Always been a massive trekkie and also loved RP in games makes it feel more real not like most games like cod where most people are all over the multiplayer getting that new gun camo etc but me i love the story etc and role playing one of my fav franchises with likeminded people drew me to this community and i cant wait to get started and get into it

I'm looking forward to learning more about star trek and this will be my first experience in this type of rpg I figured I would see how it works out :)

Guest It seemed cool

I saw a really strange ad on a Star Trek dialogue tracking page for Discovery, I have some hearing loss and I like to read episodes after I watch. It was like “ hey wanna join a starship?” And my answer to that was ok! I like to write but I have no idea what I’m doing. All my characters or roleplaying up to this point have been art based in AWrpg (artwork role play game).

I've always been a fan of writing, but I've never found a group quite like yours until now! I'm excited to see what I can contribute with. I do have a question when I get settled in could I have some help with an avatar and signature?

Yes, we have a forum to request a signature graphic and avatar!

A friend of mine from another role-playing venue showed me one of her son's from here. I was instantly intrigued.

Hello,
Why did I join?
I used to play PBEM games several years ago. I had to drop out (life stuff ya know).
When I was writing for Star Trek PBEM simms, I did 5,000 words a day (several posts a day).
I'm now an author (fantasy and science fiction), and I write only about 1,000 words a day.
While the stories are better, I'd like to get my speed back up to 5,000.
I had an art class where we warmed up with 1 minute poses... it was a great way to loosen up to get ready to paint/draw.  I plan on using this game in a similar fashion.

Okay... the REAL reason, is that I miss writing in sims! :)

With a quick google search I found you guys.
I remember looking at this site ten years ago and considered joining.
Glad I finally am getting back into it.

Best,

Mark :)

I just happened to stumble upon the site doing research for a TV concept I had. I never even know this kind of online RPG existed. I joined for a fun and different experience. But I also joined as an engineer in hopes that I gain a better knowledge base of the engines and other engineer related components of a starship so that I can write better engineering stories in the my Sci-Fi TV show.

Greetings! I'm very excited to begin the process to join this community. I've researched a number of different communities and found this one to be quite active and well organized. There are some online "fleets" that work hard to be big. Everyone who applies can get a ship. That's not exactly my motivation. I'm interested in flexing my creative writing muscles. For many years I belonged to an online writing community and have not found the same connection as I have in the past. That site has thousands of members and if you step away due to life concerns things can move too fast and it's tough to get back into the culture.

So far it's been a pleasant experience applying. I have tons of questions, but am practicing patience to savor these early moments. Often joining and being the newbie is something we want to rush out of quickly, but I'm going to lavish in the attention and time. 🤭

I hope you'll find we meet those standards – we put a lot of emphasis on helping people improve their writing and collaborative simming skills!

Good day!

Well, I decided to join for some basic reasons. First, Star Trek Picard reignited my love for star trek universe which brought fresh visual effects, ships, characters, and uniforms. I guess the idea of the franchise continues to be one of the best visions for humankind. Second, due to the coronavirus pandemic, I have now a lot of free time and I would like to refine my writing skill in another language.  And finally, after a quick research on the internet, this community seemed to me very well organized and established,  a great opportunity to meet new people.

I hope to stay longer than the pandemic.

🙏
