Jalana Rajel promoted to Commodore

Recommended Posts

240px-JalanaRajel.jpgThe Executive Council is pleased to announce the promotion of Fleet Captain Jalana Rajel to the rank and title of Commodore.

Commodore Rajel is the first member to be promoted to Commodore after the introduction of new formal rules in Bylaw 2 by the EC that govern when and how this rank and title is to be awarded. Commodore is now an exclusive rank and title that captains and fleet captains can earn in UFOP: StarBase 118 once they have served as commanding officer of a vessel for five years (whether continuously during one tenure or cumulatively over multiple commands). Having completed their own “five-year mission” aboard their ships, these COs are recognized by our community as among our finest leaders in the fleet.

After first earning the rank of Commander as Akeelah D’Sena on May 14, 2015, Commodore Rajel took command of the USS Constitution-B on May 28, 2015 as Commander Rajel. She was promoted to Captain on November 3, 2015 and then Fleet Captain on February 20, 2019. Her tenure as CO of Constitution is now the longest active command in the fleet, and she has been awarded the James T. Kirk Cross, Sarek Star, and Christopher Pike Pendant for her outstanding performance as a commanding officer. Those outside of her ship perhaps know her best for her long-term work with the (Image) Collective. Her promotion to Commodore makes her the inaugural member of our new Commodores’ Club, and she is well-deserving of the honor for all that she does for her ship and our community.

You can read more about Commodore Rajel in an interview she did last year.

Please join us in congratulating Commodore Rajel on the forums!
