Application Example Question

Question

Guest PholinDuyzer

I'm thinking of joining soon, and have written my creative writing sample. Reading the assignment back, I'm not so sure what is meant with narrative style. I've interpreted it as a story with the structure of a story, i.e. Intro - Body - Conclusion. But reading it back, I think maybe the layout of the story is meant, i.e. write it like a book, not as the RPG sim style, which I've done.

Am I interpreting it right? Should I rewrite my writing sample?

I'm fairly certain I wrote mine in the layout of a story since I had never written anything for an RPG or a play by email.  It also lends itself to including more description and characterization, which is something we look for in the academy.

I'm not saying it is 100% required, but again, fairly certain its what I did.

Yes, that's the correct interpretation.

I encourage you to submit by this evening – we have a training group starting tomorrow and we'd love to have you in it.
