  1. We have our winners for the Spring Graphics Contest 2016! The theme was "Crossover" and our contestants have shown us their interpretation of the theme. We had great entries and they made it really difficult for us to choose only one winner and one runner up! But here we go, for a last time.. The WINNER of the Spring Graphic Contest is... Drumroll please! Raissa Moonsong with her entry "We're still lost!" And the RUNNER UP of the Spring Graphic Contest is... More Drumroll!! Rune Jolara with her entry "Cylon vs. Borg" Thank you to everyone who entered, it was a really difficult choice! Congratulations to everyone, you had great entries and it was as always a hard decision. You can get your winner and runner up badges here on the Wiki. Thank you also to the judges for this round: Shelther Faranster, Nathaniel Wilmer, Maxwell Traenor, Raissa Moonsong and yours truly Jalana Rajel. Also thank you to everyone who has participated and judged in the last year of the Graphics Contest. Who knows maybe one day in the future we will return. Until then we hope you will stay creative!
  2. If you have any questions or comments, please leave them here!
  3. To avoid a double-upload, here is the wiki link: http://wiki.starbase118.net/wiki/index.php/File:SkyfireSpring16-Behold_Excalibur.jpg "Behold, Excalibur" was a JP written by Fleet Captain Andrus Jaxx and Captain Kali Nicholotti August 4, 2013. Part 1 & Part 2
  4. We are proud to present you a new round of the "Starbase 118: Graphic contest". In this contest we recognize the amazingly talented artists we have among our membership. If you like to be artistic at any level, join in the fun. Have you ever imagined how it would be to see the TARDIS on the view screen? Or Spaceball's Lonestar's Van would land in your shuttlebay? Sherlock Holmes solves your murder mystery? Merlin hands your CO Excalibur? Or Superman is faster than your ship to save a planet? That and much more you can now imagine and put into your graphics! This time's theme is "Crossover!" You can literally crossover any other fandom, TV Series, Movie, Roleplay universe with Star Trek and show us the awesomeness of it! SUBMISSION GUIDELINES The theme must be included, it's the challenge, in this case you will showcase both fandoms, so don't forget either of them. You can have them visit the Star Trek Universe or the other way around. The submitted work has to be done by you. You can use stock images and the like and put them together, but the final work does have your stamp on it.Any kind of graphic style is allowed. You can paint, use 3D renders, mix different source images, make collages, animations, draw, manipulate photos, make a video etc. as long as the final work is completely yours.Everyone can submit one piece of workPlease add your name (your primary character which we identify you with) in the lower corner as a signatureImage size: At least 600*450 pixel and staying in these proportions (either horizontal or vertical, by your choice)Submission deadline is April 23rd 2016To submit the image, start a new thread in this contest forum, that way we do not have to dig for it Now of course you might wonder what you have from all this, apart from a lot of fun and being able to show off your artistic side. The winner and runner up will receive a badge for his forum signature/Wiki pageThe winners will be announced in the news on the websiteWe will build a gallery page of all entries with special featuring of the winners, and display the images on our Deviantart pageAnd the winner will also receive an IC surprise, which we don't want to spoil.Yes, you read that right, winners - plural. To include everyone, we differ between two categories: People: creation of characters, aliens, merging of people with backgrounds, scenes etc.World-building: creation of planets, landscapes, ships, galaxy scenes, technology etc. Each category will have its own winner! If we do not have entries for one of the categories, the other will receive two winners and two runner ups. Eager to get started? Your mind full of images that want out? Well then ready, set, GO! Please make sure to use the "Spring" Prefix from the drop down menu when you submit your entry. Thank you If you have any questions, please post them here. Who knows, someone else might have the same.

  7. My entry for the contest. Ayiana has this tricorder she has used since her early Academy days. She is constantly tweaking and upgrading it. It is one of her most precious items. Don't mind the office mess.
  8. This was a lot of fun! My favorite things represented here are comics, Star Trek ships and the friends I've made here on UFOP:SB118! This is the culmanation of more hours of work than I'd like to admit, scouring an absurd amount of comics to gather certain elements and a 30 layer, 85MB photoshop file. If you'd like to see the full version which is NOT FOR CONTEST CONSIDERATION: CLICK HERE
  9. A few of Lt. JG Nate Wilmer's favorite things: (including) Tongo, his Swiss Chalet, the Galaxy class starship, fast shuttles, latinum and Charlotte Farnsworth! 9 layers, with a 46% transparency blend.
  10. Kali's favorite thing eva! =) Image pulled from three sources - the plane, the body, and Kali. Fun to make and quite reflective of Kali herself.
  11. Before he had the means to replicate the real thing for his quarters, Maxwell would have to practice before gigs in the holodeck... This might make you cringe, but I lost the full-res image I was working on, leaving me with this. I still kinda like it, though, and had put some amount of work into it, so I figured I'd post it anyways. Valuable lesson learned today about letting others access your computer while you're mid-project...
