  1. My love for Trek is closely followed by my love for tabletop role playing games, so I thought I would share my resources and maybe turn folks on to yet ANOTHER way that they can enjoy Star Trek. "Far Trek" is a TTRPG based on the Original Series. Based on Mike Berkeley's "Where No Man Has Gone Before" (more on that one in another thread) with a little bit of Fate and Microlite thrown in, all you need to play is a copy of the free PDF, and some six sided dice. Checking the "Far Trek" website, the author, C. R. Brandon hasn't posted in over two years, but the file(s) are still available. When I first discovered Far Trek about 4 or 5 years ago, it paid to follow him on social media or get his blog on your RSS feed, because he would have, for lack of a better word, popup sales, where you could actually purchase (at cost) a dead trees nice little paperback of Far Trek. I have two, but I am mad that I didn't get the animated series cover edition. The interior of all the books were the same, only the cover changed. It was wonderful. Go over to the right hand side of the page, click on the Far Trek edition with the animated series cover, and hey presto! You have about a dozen files to download and start playing Star Trek on your dining room table tonight. The core rule book is less than 150 pages, is easy to read and understand. If you are looking for a fast and easy way to get into Star Trek RPGing, then this might just be your huckleberry. Enjoy! - Bill
  2. http://kotaku.com/star-trek-bridge-crew-puts-four-players-in-charge-of-a-1781824398 Coming (hopefully) this fall, more details to premiere during E3. Might have to actually invest in VR equipment for this one!
  3. Hi there gaming enthusiasts I have been playing this Star Trek Card Game for a while now, helping the developers hunt down bugs and allow the game to run smoothly. A week or so ago it moved into early access on Steam and I though I should probably share it with you all. https://store.steampowered.com/app/815040/Star_Trek_Adversaries/ Edit: I should note that because it is still on early access there are still many bugs popping up and not all of the final features are available yet.
  4. Is anyone out there playing the mobile game Star Trek Timelines? It might be fun to create a fleet or squadron for this group.
  5. Does anyone else play Star Trek: Online? I bought it last week, and am in danger of becoming quickly addicted! If you do, what are your thoughts?
  6. STO Give away 3 Tier5 ships Unlock account-wide, but faction based, there is the Avenger Class for Starfleet, B'Rel BOP Retrofit for Klingon's and the T'Varo Light Cruiser for Romulan. All these are VAdm ships roughly about 3-6k Zen, get them while you can STO players. When claimed they are unlocked on your account, the Avenger Class is an Engineering ship. I know most of you play STO so get them while the goings good.... If you want them!

  8. Hello all you gamers! I got back into WOW with the new expansion. It's been a real blast, though I do miss being part of a nice social guild. So I was thinking, is there a guild already with members from the Fleet?
  9. With Star Trek Online finally hitting our consoles, now's a good as time as any to discuss what other Star Trek games you might have loved or hated when playing with that controller on your home console, recommending or downright slamming as you go. I'm "lucky" enough to own Star Trek: Conquest for the PS2. Nice little strategy game, actually, though has little to no story aspect.
  10. As the title says, new game made to simulate the ship bridge. I'm still puzzled reading how it should work, but anyway it sounds interesting.
  11. http://startrek-is.com/ So what's this all about then?
  12. Did anyone ever play Birth of the Federation? It was a turn based strategy game, much like Civilization. You could play as the Federation, Klingons, Romulans, Cardassians, or Ferengi (I think). You could colonize worlds, conquer them, handle diplomacy, set up trade routes, and of course build fleets of awesome Star Trek ships This was a great classic and still fun to this day. Not to mention it has multiplayer
  13. Anyone of you seen this? I can't wait to get playing
