  1. Have you ever run in this problem: Your sim formatting is all messed up and makes it hard to read. Maybe the fonts are mismatched, different colors, different sizes, background shading, extra line-breaks, oh my! Maybe a little something like this? Setting this right just takes a few moments. It's simple and it's quick, so fret no more. There are two options. If you use Gmail (and we recommend it), fixing bad formatting is as simple as using the "clear formatting" button: But if you don't use Gmail, it's still pretty simple. Here are the steps: 1. Cut all the text from your sim. On Windows, it's CTRL+X. On Mac it's ⌘+X. 2. Open a text editor. On Windows, you must use Notepad (search in your start menu). On Mac, you must use TextEdit (search from Launchpad or open from your Applications folder in Finder). 3. Paste all the text from your sim into the text editor. On Windows, it's CTRL+V. On Mac, it's ⌘+V. Notepad or TextEdit will strip all the formatting out of your text, removing it completely. 4. Now here's the important part... don't mess this up! After you've pasted in all the text, cut all the text out of the text editor. On Windows, it's CTRL+X. On Mac it's ⌘+X. Now that the text is "clean" in Notepad or TextEdit, you're grabbing the clean text to put back into your email. 5. Paste the cleaned text into your email client. On Windows, it's CTRL+V. On Mac, it's ⌘+V. Super quick and simple, and you're left with totally clean formatting.
  2. We're a Play-By-Email (PBEM) role-playing group (RPG), and these forums are where we meet Out Of Character (OOC). Even if you've registered for our forums, you also need to submit an application to participate in our RPG.
