  1. I'll agree with the request for outposts or even a starbase being built if not in all, at least a few of them to provide support to the assigned ships on the zone. But until then, the USS Harald Hardrada will be sent out of the zone to serve the Starfleet needs, where they'll have better installations to repair it more quickly. This way we could use our installations to fix the rest of the ships that will need less time, starting with the USS u Cơ. With that ship undergoing repairs, the USS Ngô Quyền will go for the pirates and their bases. The USS Æthelwulf will look for the silenced ships and outposts, being assisted by the USS Kh’shia as both ships had proven to have good scientific equipments and being able to hold themselves if a surprise attack happens.

The escort duty will be held by USS Penda, a ship proven in combat, able to defend itself and others with its tactical capabilities, until the USS u Co is repaired and take its place for escort duty so the Penda can undergo refit and repairs.

Finally the USS Æthelflæd, the other Ambassador class ship will perform patrol duty. All ships will be instructed to be ready to assist any distress call from any other ship, and I'll coordinate their progress and change their duties as the situation evolves. If things get too difficult, I'll assume the responsibility to contact the Cardassians and seek out the possibility of a joint operation, at least along their borders.

If possible, after the u Co, and the Penda, the order for repairs will be, the Penda, Kh’shia, USS Æthelwulf and USS Æthelflæd.

  2. Alert Spoilers!

Aside from outer characters, the one from the crew that I liked more was Malcolm Reed. From his professionalism in his duties, to his bond with Trip, his development in dealing with the MACO and showing that he had been an agent from Section 31. The fact that he didn't reveal personal information like his favorite food, or that he worried about being well groomed when facing death made him an interesting character for me.

Moonsong: I am not your counselor, Kel. I am your friend and your sister.

Kelrod: Sister… :: Marcus had never had a sister and Kelrod… well his life and his relatives were gone long ago, a distant memory from another life. :: So,... what’s the prognosis?

Moonsong: I am advising you to take the risk. Let her know that you are not oblivious to her interest… because, right now… I doubt she is aware that the interest is mutual. ::she leaned back on the couch.:: I am serious. You are a telepath with selective hearing.

Just what Kelrod needed, a new sister that was a counselor, and that has an infant as a secret weapon. Poor uncle Kel...

The pirate glanced to the security officer with the three pips on his collar and the small furry animal on his features, decided he was going absolutely nowhere with any of them until someone decided to tell him what was going on. Granted, he had little option in the actual moving, seeing as sudden bursts of energy from phaser weapons tended to induce narcolepsy.

Yeah. energy weapons tend to have that side effect! LOL! At least it's better than other settings...

Standing just a length or two over from the shuttle was a security team of varying description, led by someone whose goatee looked like a small furry animal had taken up residence on his chin and barely moved for the warmth, while the Captain stood in maroon red, dark hair done up, quite the stunner. Of course, Ollie slipped into charming pirate with a wide boyish grin and held his arms out as though coming back to an old friend.

From Commander Marshall post. Never thought about that! I might use the idea in the future.

G'var:::swinging her bat’leth:: You truly have the heart of a Warrior, you bring more Honor to your House than you could possibly know Sister.

Charlena looked up as she finished fastening the tape. She couldn't help but smile. This felt good, she felt like she was actually in control. She was so proud that G'var had said that to her even if her lungs were burning just a little.

Vanlith: ::sincerely:: It's all down to you.

G'var:::raising a brow::Me? ::cradling her bat’leth in the crook of her arm:: No, today is about you Vee. Your Courage and Honor have brought you here.

Vanlith: Honestly. Without your help and support I don't know how well I would have lasted here.

Poor Kelrod, drowns his loneliness in a glass of... whatever. Who'll notice... as long as he does his work.

  7. Hello Marc, my name is Sergio and I'm 'hailing' from Spain, so we're about in the same time zone.

I'm glad that you've joined us, I've been around here for about eighteen years and still simming! So, I understand these first moments when joining such a community in a foreign language, so feel free to contact me anytime if you need something. I've improved my english a great deal just by playig here, of course the use of a translator was a day to day basic for me the first years due to some expressions and made up phrases, so don't be ashamed to ask the meaning of anything you don't get (I did it a lot of times and people in general are very kind and willing to help).

Regarding to the "Picard" series, we're still simming on what's known as the prime universe, and the year is 2397, so the events of Picard are in the future. So, for the moment, the best references to play are TNG, VOY and DS9.

I hope that you're training goes smoothly and hope to see you around in the fleet soon.

  8. Welcome to the group. You'll find that we're very easy going persons and it's good to have someone playing a character that's different. You seem to have a good brackground to play what could be a confused character on a strange environment filled with bi-gendered people. I also found interesting another species with three genders, one being "the cogenitor", ( Enterprise, season 2 episode 22). Hope you have fun and to see you IC around the fleet.

    Congrats all!

@Groznin Smith You deserve all the love, even though you're trying to tell me on Discord now you don't. 😉

@Luna Walker 15 years... Wow! How have you managed to survive this thing for so long?! Keep being sassy. 😊

@Jarred Thoran Richard, you're someone to look up to, you do all this OOC work (including these awards, now) brilliantly and deserve the recognition!

@Theo Whittaker Mikey, you never seize to amaze me, and you're simply the best captain I could wish for. Simply so caring and loving for all who need it. ❤️

Another survivor around here. I still remember when our characters were so young.... Ah... Nostalgic mode on!

Congratulations to all my fellow award winners. You are all amazing and beautiful people inside and out and everybody deserves their awards!

I’m especially proud of @Luna Walker who has been here a staggering 15 years and who never fails to find a way to give Theo a headache (in the best possible way, obviously).

Words can’t quite describe how proud I am of the ever wonderful, ever brilliant @Jarred Thoran for his tireless devotion to not just Columbia, but to the entire fleet. You’re an example and an inspiration to just about everywhere and you are going to be an incredible Captain one day. Thank you for facilitating this year’s award ceremony. You are utterly, utterly marvellous and a fabulous human being!

Also- I’m so proud of  @Groznin Smith, who is quite simply one of the loveliest people I’ve met through this fleet and whose enthusiasm for our game brings people to us from far and wide.

@Sal Taybrim- you make this fleet so much brighter by being everyone’s champion. I was fortunately to write for you for two years and I can attest to how bright you shine, how supportive you are and how much of a true friend you are to us all. You’re one in a billion!

@Kali Nicholotti- I never knew you were the brains behind the Image Collective but thank you for giving the members of the team another opportunity to showcase their amazing talents and for being an icon to many in this fleet x

I’d also like to say thank you humbly for the Xalor Clan Xifilis Award. Autism can be debilitating for me at time but this fleet gives me a reason to keep going when times are tough. I’m infinitely grateful to be here with you all. 😻

PS: @Roshanara Rahman, DM about franchising that coffee shop to someone on Columbia...... or getting me a transfer to Veritas!

You know... Maybe in the future we'll make a restaurant too... Just, wait for it!

  11. I believe that hulls are the next step to improve because it's the one that haven't seen a leap in decades or a century (aside from ablative armor). I'd like to see the hulls being kind of organic so they'll be able to 'heal' itself or at least improve the way to make repairs if damaged. Maybe some nanotech that could assemble or build part of the hull to make ships more resilient and able to commit to longer missions without the need to come to a Starbase for repairs.

So, any engineer up to the task of research it and make history?
